ParticipantThere was a plugin for shops in BuddyPress but I believe it’s been deprecated. I’d be willing to pitch in to have it fixed.

MemberHello and thank you for this update.
BP 1.6 is not working with my website. After updating from the last 1.5 release, I noticed the following issues and I can’t fix them :
– The profile avatar is correctly displayed in the WP bar when browsing in wp-admin section. But not in the mainsite as a visitor.
There is an issue with the avatar, in any page displaying an avatar (including avatar in the WP bar), for groups or any profiles. It is replaced by html code.Example : http://www.moncoachdenutrition.com/members/coachnutrition/
When checking the code, there is an obvious code error with a double img tag (<img src="<img src) :
<li id="wp-admin-bar-user-info" class=""><a class="ab-item" href="http://www.moncoachdenutrition.com/members/coachnutrition/profile/edit/"><img src="<img src="http://www.moncoachdenutrition.com/wp-content/uploads/avatars/1/22e21576e76a0c01d85e4e611aae6c19-bpfull.jpg" alt="Avatar de Mon Coach de Nutrition" class="avatar user-1-avatar" width="64" height="64" />" width="64" height="64" alt="Avatar de %s"><span class='display-name'>Mon Coach de Nutrition</span><span class='username'>coachnutrition</span></a> </li>– Second issue : impossible to edit a profile, as it leads to an inifinite url loop.
Example : If I try to edit the profile throughhttp://www.moncoachdenutrition.com/members/coachnutrition/profile/edit/it leads to a blank page where the url is getting bigger and bigger :
http://www.moncoachdenutrition.com/members/coachnutrition/profile/edit/group/1/:/www.moncoachdenutrition.com/1/:/www.moncoachdenutrition.com/1/...Everything was working like a charm before this update.
Please avoid advices like “you should have tested it before”. I know but Buddypress is just one of the team that I trust the most.
I just wanted to know if someone has an idea about the solution ?Many thanks
Kris
PS website is in French, I don’t know if it is important.

Inactive@cmatthews Prayer might help! You really should have tested it locally before applying the update to your live site. Go into your server and rename the plugin file buddypress to something else. This may help as a temporary fix.

Member@mercime thanks for the reply… Yeah I checked that list out but not quite what I wanted.
I ended up going down the stand-alone route but I will be writing plugins for BuddyPress/WoW/Ladders as they will be very useful to myself and probs be of interest to others.
I am also going to write WoW addons also and will have a look at some way to bridge the gap between the WoW API and BuddyPress.
The ladder system has just been deployed at ladder.wowgz.com but there’s still lots of work to be done before any tournaments are held.
Regards,

ModeratorThe plugin works great. Please read the install instructions. You need to edit code in header.php.
@danpkraus You cannot add the member links via the wp admin menus because each user that logs in requires a different link.

Participanthttps://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_get_current_user works with buddypress… I use it like this.
To personalise the admin bar I use something like this (bp version 1.5.7)

Participant@michaelsanborn All bbPress versions are located at https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags Just click on the version you want and in the next panel, download zip on click near bottom of the screen. Having said that, you know that the old stand-alone bbPress versions are only compatible with much older and less secure WP versions.
If you or someone else updates the converter, you should take into consideration that the BP Group Forums will be integrated into the bbPress plugin sitewide forums. https://bbpress.org/support/

Participant== I was wondering if there are any projects like this in development now? ==
@piofcube not that we are aware of. The best place to suggest/ask for either a WP and/or BP plugin like that would be with the developers of WOW to help promote and elevate the game. Btw, did you check out any of the plugins listed https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=warcraft&sort=
