KeymasterBuddyPress’ forums are provided by bbPress, so you may want to search on that.

ParticipantStrange. Is your secondary blog named “members” “groups” “blogs” “forums” or “activity”?
As in http://members.yoursite.com or http://yoursite.com/members/
If so, change name to e.g “community” or “pals” etc. as long as site is not named alike one of BP components above.November 2, 2011 at 4:36 am #123593@mercime
ParticipantAs usual backup DB and files. Copy over BP 1.5.1 on top of existing. BP Twenty Eleven is good to go as BP Template Pack plugin didn’t need to be updated for this version. Even if it was, if you used the method shown in Codex, then you wouldn’t have any issue even if BP Template Pack plugin was updated.

MemberSo iv decided to just use groups for now and list them manually in an html widget – once this project is completed [on time i hope] ill come back and look at making the BuddyPress Contents plugin 1.5 compatible because it has a load of awesome features from the description. Any input is still very much welcomed, using groups is a temporary fix until i have more time.

KeymasterCan you be more specific about what you mean when you say that the include parameter doesn’t work? By design, the include parameter overrides all others.
I’ll give it a test tomorrow if I remember, but in any case, it’ll never get fixed if there’s no Trac ticket. Trac.buddypress.org. Please provide all the details and steps to reproduce that you can.

ParticipantThank you for that @gingram815 but I really find it so hard to believe that “include” no longer works. It really is killing my site. I know it might sound easy to just reverse the query and use “exclude” instead but the query I have is very complicated and it really is not so simple to find the members to exclude. Does anyone know if this will be fixed in the next release or know another way around it?

loudrake
MemberOK, I have everything working EXCEPT on the events-manager pages in my buddypress admin profile it shows the correct sidebar on the right but it also has the sidebar shown again under the body/content of the page in the unstyled format.
Any one have an idea where I find that get_sidebar php tag? I’m also afraid if I do find it that the WordPress admin will break if I remove the tag. Can I just turn events-manager off in buddypress and access it through the wordpress admin instead? How do I do that?

Hi Boone,
I am trying to create a multi step sign-up registration page. Preferably also include some new profile field such as multi category drop down list and country with flags. Should i create new rows in wp_bp_xprofile_fields?
or just follow the example above and it will create it for me?
I was also wondering if I can have have something like step1, step2 etc like godaddy.com?November 1, 2011 at 7:41 pm #123577In reply to: Double Navagation

Member@mercime the other is the Advertise Here link. The Connection Link is the members link – i just renamed the link.
Re Blog link:

@mercime
ParticipantNot by default. One instance of BuddyPress covers single multisite installation.
There’s http://wpmututorials.com/news/new-features/multiple-buddypress-social-networks/
where you would have to create a network of multisite installations first. Check it out.November 1, 2011 at 5:55 pm #123568In reply to: [Resolved] Theme Compatibility – Woothemes Listings
@mercime
ParticipantDelete the header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php previously created. My bad, I missed the common div#content in both Listings WP theme and BP template files which unfortunately are placed in different parts of the HTML structure. I have replaced instructions using second method with that of using the first method for BP Compatibility process in above post.
The widgets in sidebar which show up in the BuddyPress pages are the same as what you placed in your theme’s sidebar.

Avum
MemberHi Paul – I’m using my own theme (and will need to use it for the live site). I’ve run the Buddypress plugin pack, and everything seemed to go OK with that.
I’ve played around a little bit on testbp.org, and so I have an idea about how things are supposed to work, but it’s not working that way for me.
One other thing – when someone writes a post, I would like other users to be able to have a choice: to see more of their posts (as wp normally does) or to go to their BP profile page to message them, see their activity, etc.

MemberI asked a question in his forum, but thus far I haven’t heard back. I was hoping in the interim that someone here might have encountered the same issue with the password reset feature. I’ll try disabling plugins, as you suggested. I already disabled TML to test the password reset, and noticed that when TML is deactivated, the reset feature works ok. I also noticed something about the link directions, too:
TML PLUGIN ON:
Lost Password link goes here:
http://www.thewebsite/login/?action=lostpasswordTML PLUGIN OFF:
Lost Password link goes here:
http://www.thewebsite/wp-login.php?action=lostpasswordI’m wondering why the code is different, and where I can get at this code. I’m assuming it’s buried in PHP somewhere within TML’s resources, but I’ve had no luck finding it.
I’ll troubleshoot more by disabling plugins, as you suggested, however.
November 1, 2011 at 1:53 pm #123562In reply to: Header problem after update buddypress 1.5
online
ParticipantI seem to have a similar problem. After updating, I was asked to create pages (also for a “links”) plugin I’ve implemented (but not actually using much yet).
A “links” tab was created, but also a “links” link (off to the right, directly below the tabs and still within the header).
The tab points to “links/” and link points to “links” (no trailing slash).
I’m just ignoring it for now, but it looks very broken.

MemberHave you tried posting a new thread on the support forum for TML?
http://www.jfarthing.com/support/forum/requests-and-complaints
I don’t see any threads from users with the same issue, but perhaps no one else has noticed. Also, have you tried disabling other plugins and just keeping BuddyPress & TML activated? Does the password recovery function work just fine if you disable TML?
