What versions of WordPress and BuddyPress are you using? Which theme? What other plugins are installed?
Did you download and install bbPress separately, or did you install bbPress from within BuddyPress?
If you did install it separately, do you want to do an external integration of the forums? For example, http://example.com/group/some-group/forum as well as http://forums.example.com ?

Hi Paul,
I am not sure if I have got everything set up properly, but I do not seem to have the option to “create new group”.
These are the steps I have taken:
1) Installed BuddyPress and BBpress
2) Under General Settings, I have everything set to “No”
3) Under Components Settings, I have “Enabled” everything
Did I get any steps wrong or miss out anything?
Oh and one more thing, I am using WPMU Dev “memberhsip” plugin and have enabled group creation for users.
Any ideas?

@sbrajesh , the code solves the problem of member link, but groups and forums link are still follow the current viewing blogs.
Sofian seperates BP components on different blogs, and seems he doesn’t need to create other blogs than bp components. If he create a new blog, groups and forums links still need to be twicked. How?
Thank you for your links mercime. I’ve spent most of the morning working my way through them. Should I uninstall buddypress and start over?

The problem is that you’re using email addresses as user names. BuddyPress must usernames to make up URLs. Usually usernames are chosen by the user, so there is no issue with exposed emails as in your case. Are you using a plugin to allow this?
I don’t know of anything like that at the moment and have poked around a little for it. Just curious, for your application, would it be the same profile fields for each group? Like Facebook groups have Location, Website, etc for each group but it’s the same list for each group I believe. I’ve been messing around with the Group Extension API (https://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/group-extension-api/) and have a basic plugin that has a few of these already pre-defined. It is certainly not very dynamic (yet) but if you have a set you need, I could send you that modified to your list, or the code changes from the base API to what I have if you’re interested in coding it yourself. That’s assuming someone else doesn’t come in and show us both a plugin that already does it which would not surprise me either
It might be related to your theme and it’s functions.php file or incompatibilities. Try using the BuddyPress Default theme and creating some new users with that, then let us know what happens.

This plugin is different than Buddyvents. They work together, cause some of the group functionality (address) overlaps, but they do different things.

Haven’t actually looked into routes that much, so I’m not sure yet how I’ll implement it.
I’ve just added support to filter members by distance from your own location.

I’ve had to wipe the current location info, so at the moment you’ll not see much. Also, it obviously only works if the current user has set their location.

I want to add different widgets in header on different pages. Would you please share your solution?
I’m on a different theme, and I made it BuddyPress compatible using the plugin that edits the theme.
I guess I can edit this out of the member page, what concerns me is the URL.
With an url like website.com/members/johnsmith-gmail-com
it’s not really hard to harvest the emails of everyone and spam them.
Please provide me with instructions on changing these urls.

No, that is not the issue. BP works in single WP.
But if you want to give your members their own blogs, then you have to go multisite, i.e. create a network.
