@mercime
Participant@warut – upgraded to 1.5 in test install and “lost” the logo I uploaded in previous version. Re-uploaded site logo and it’s behaving well. Thank you.

ParticipantThe avatar can be enlarged, sure. But, as with the bp-default theme, clicking any avatar already links to the users profile.

Participant“The only problem I’m having is nobody can “create an account” or cannot register”
If you’re on WP Multisite – go to Super Admin > Options > Allow users to register
If you’re on single WP – go to Settings > General Settings > Membership – allow anyone to registerOctober 10, 2010 at 1:12 am #94726@mercime
ParticipantThis is more a WordPress question rather than a BuddyPress one – https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL – remember to back up your database first

ParticipantBasically the answer is no. You can’t have multiple blogs unless you either have WordPress MU or WordPress MS. WordPress Single will still run BuddyPress but it won’t have any blogs.

InactiveBuddyPress forums are group based by default, so you could set each group up to be an office and each office would get its own forum. It would all come together on the forums directory. From what you wrote it doesn’t sound like you’ll be needing all the social networking that ships with BP, so WP MS (setting offices up as blogs) and a standalone forum (without BP) might be better suited to your needs.

ParticipantTo add – there is a statement on the roadmap which reads, “Due date is only to force the order of milestones and does not reflect any actual release schedule.”

@mercime
ParticipantThe problem is not normally found in sound installations. Deactivate all plugins including BuddyPress. Then check if you can access the blogs you created as Super Admin. If that works, activate BuddyPress and BP plugins one by one.

MemberHi there. I sent this question (Above about 2 weeks ago) – Any experts out there that can help me? Not so sure where else to turn other than the buddypress community itself.

@mercime
Participant@conectcahul deactivate bp-group-management plugin first and see if erratic behavior disappears.
Sitewide tags plugin is a good plugin, and works for me.
Also, check out http://buddydev.com/buddypress/blog-categories-for-groups-plugin/October 9, 2010 at 9:14 pm #94708In reply to: Events Manager for BuddyPress
@mercime
ParticipantHi @netweblogic. First requirement is that people can post events from the frontend, second is being able to set privacy levels for the events – public, for members only, etc, third is that at least one map can be attached to the event, etc. etc. etc.There are already a couple of feature-rich BuddyPress events plugins in the WP repo:
EventPress – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eventpress/
Jet Event System – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jet-event-system-for-buddypress/
Good luck.October 9, 2010 at 8:56 pm #94706rich! @ etiviti
Participantlooks like the group is private – so buddypress will redirect back to the main page (if someone is not a member)

ParticipantHey thanks but still does not seem to work or I’m communicating my question. When I add a new page to our wordpress site I pasted a link into the html body. The menu for the site now has “forum” but it always redirect me to the wordpress generic forum link not the buddypress group forum.
Desired link:
`gwspacesociety.rog/groups/students/forum/#post-new`The resulting link:

ParticipantNo they have only just been ALL resolved. The release of, I think, a release candidate should happen any day now.

Thanks for All the suggestions Cube Points seems to have all I need for now but I have a couple of questions about it, if anyone knows how to solve it:Anyway here is a couple of questions:
1. Is there anyway to add a text popup or something that says “Congratulations you just earned x points!” (like Yahoo Answers)
2. I want to format ever users profile page like this: http://avatarthelastairbenderonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Profile.jpg As you can see I’m probably going to need a list of Template Tags, Like the points which should be like you mentioned, and I’ll also need to find the code to display their rank and possibly rank image.
3. This might be off topic, but how would I detect whether or not the user is a moderator on any forum on the profile page so I can display an image identifying them as a moderator?
4. I also want to display the users stats in the Forum Posts, and on the sidebar in their User Control Panel (A Custom area I made once a user logs in:) see here for an example of how I am trying to get the forum topic to look: http://avatarthelastairbenderonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Forum-Topic.jpgHas anyone tried that kind of thing.
Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

I’ve changed the js for the datepicker. The end date has to be the same or at a later date as the start date now. It still doesn’t account for the time, though, and if someone adds a date manually it still relies on the server check, but it’s a good start.October 9, 2010 at 5:36 pm #94687islandcastaway

Participant@netweblogic tbh I find that post unbelievable, it’s not only hijacking but downright rude and spammy, I’ll be deleting it from this thread shortly just so that you know when you look for it.

ParticipantYeah, kinda not cool dude.
Besides, if you’re going to start discussion about a different subject, start a new thread. Otherwise, things get real confusing, real fast!October 9, 2010 at 2:07 pm #94678In reply to: How to increase activity-avatar image size?

Thanks!

The loop uses the same access logic as the calendar now, so the plugin is now fully compatible with any combination of group status/event status. -
