Participant@ray … looks like I do not have an .htaccess file … which is weird. Is there a standard .htaccess file that should be present?

KeymasterFor BP_AVATAR_URL, try:
http://example.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/filesFor BP_AVATAR_UPLOAD_PATH, you can try the snippet posted by 3dperuna:
https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/bp-1-2-4-custom-bp_avatar_url-change/#post-56257But in some cases, that isn’t accurate. Only you can enter in the correct filepath.

KeymasterYou could temporarily try setting the BP_AVATAR_URL and BP_AVATAR_UPLOAD_PATH in wp-config.php:
Read this for more details:

Try the tutorials I’ve linked to.July 5, 2010 at 10:43 pm #84359In reply to: how to access to bbpress admin from buddypress??

ParticipantIf nothing else I was hoping it would consolidate the user accounts so people won’t have to log into two separate things.

KeymasterThere are limitations, but it depends on what you mean by integration!
The tutorials I listed integrates single sign-on with standalone bbPress and WordPress, which consequently means BuddyPress as well.

Participant@r-a-y Like I said that doesn’t integrate it with buddypress.

Keymaster@alierkurt – Is BuddyPress activated network wide on your WP 3.0 install?

Keymaster@doug.daulton – Just saw your screenshots. Make sure BuddyPress is activated network wide. See if that fixes your problem.
*Edit: If that doesn’t work, you can temporarily set your BP_AVATAR_URL and BP_AVATAR_UPLOAD_PATH in wp-config.php:

ParticipantYou need to add this to container:
Code:margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;This might work…

Participant@r-a-y I tried to move and edit .htaccess but nothing changed. When I upgraded BP 1.2.5, I refreshed the page and couldn’t see the avatars.
What else should I do?

KeymasterI upgraded it last week
What is “it”? Did you upgrade from WPMU to WP 3.0? I’m not talking about BuddyPress.

Participant@r-a-y Thanks.
I upgraded it last week and didn’t have any problem. I had the missing avatar problem today when I upgrade from 1.2.4.1 to 1.2.5

Keymaster@alanchrishughes – It sounds like you want to integrate a standalone version of bbPress with WordPress, I’ve already given you directions on how to do this.
Please do not hijack an old thread, post a new one to discuss your problems, or go on the bbPress forums for help.
*Edit: Here’s another guide that might be easier to follow:
