Hi,
I’m trying to get BuddyPress running on http://www.godlysocials.com, but get page not found for everything to do with BP.
For some reason the homepage doesn’t show the BP toolbar, but http://www.godlysocials.com/index.php/forum/ does. I can figure out later why that is.
On that forum page, if I click on the Sign Up toolbar option, it takes me to
http://www.godlysocials.com/register with a “The page cannot be found”.
The login menu option works though and logs me in using Simple Facebook Connect.Once logged in, if I go to the BP Profile menu option or any other option, it tries to take me to something like this:
http://www.godlysocials.com/members/servantheart/profile/ with a “The page cannot be found”.Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?
My user was created before I installed BP.
The theme is http://www.studiopress.com/themes/socialeyes
and I’m not using the BuddyPress Template pack. If I activate it, I get “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring() (previously declared in C:Domainsgodlysocials.comwwwrootwp-contentpluginsgenesis-connectlibajax.php:17) in C:Domainsgodlysocials.comwwwrootwp-contentpluginsbuddypressbp-themesbp-default_incajax.php on line 81”Much appreciated,
Dirk
I’ve been working on this since yesterday and I think I’m a little closer and I’m 92% certain it’s not buddypress’s fault but I was hoping that someone here might have had a similar problem and may be able to help me.
I installed it then tried to register with an alternative email. When I went to go check for the validation email, there wasn’t one. After a bit of looking around I saw that it was probably because I didn’t have an email setup so I installed the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin, after a bit of fiddling around I finally got it to accept my smtp settings, but then I get
`[“ErrorInfo”]=>
string(187) “SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: address@gmailoryahoo.com
SMTP server error: Verification failed for
550-Unrouteable address
550 Sender verify failed`I know that this isn’t buddypress’ fault but I’m just not sure what to do. My hosting is inmotionhosting.com, I set up an account in thunderbird that can send and receive email, but for some reason it seems that I can get this plugin to send my message, which I’m hoping to be the solution to sending activation emails. If I need to give more information please let me know. If you have an obvious fix or idea you think I’m overlooking please tell me. Buddypress looks amazing and it would be perfect for my site. Thank you for your time and, hopefully, responses.

I am running a wordpress site with Buddypress plugin and have also installed WordPress Access Control Plug in to make my site accessible only to registered members.
My Site http://tributz.org this is a family community website.
I have blocked all pages from loged out users except Home and About . However for logged out users widgets and profiles are visible , and also if I type Activity or members after my site address even wehn I am logged out it is accessible. This is very upsetting. Please guide me on thisTopic: Buddypress Help

Well, as the title says. I got a problem to install Buddypress. It starts like this.. Packagin…. and nothing comes. One time, it came up a problem thingy. “(Cant remember) on line (???)”
I just want to install Buddypress. But with this problem i cant. I have never successed installing Buddypress, of other problems.Just created a new site. First time user for BuddyPress and s2Member. They seem to really work well together. However, I have gone through the steps that BP suggests for compatibility customization for non-BP-supported themes. I’m just too incompetent to understand the php and css. Help!
I have Memo Theme from ThemeForest as my theme. Site is theshannonigans.com. Sorry you gotta register as a member. Please mention that you saw my post on this forum in the comments box during registration.
Problems:
1. I cannot get the width of BP and s2Member to match the width of my theme.
2. I can’t figure out how to add a spacing between the “Complete Sign Up” button and the footer on the registration page.
3. I cannot figure out how to change the orangish-red colored font to a different color in the BP profile editing pages.
4. I want my redirect page (1st page a new user sees when he/she visits the site) to either look like the Log In splash page or match my theme with the “notebook paper” behind it.Please help.
ill have another look after breakfast… Its just the default theme with some colours changed yes?
