Running this on an otherwise vanilla Ubuntu 18.04 using LAMP. WP Version 4.9.8

None of the BuddyPress emails are getting sent.

I am using WP Email SMTP. 100% of the WP Mail SMTP emails are delivered.

If I turn off BuddyPress 100% of my WP emails get delivered, but 0% of any emails that are BuddyPress get delivered.

New user creation and password reset emails users that I create on the dashboard are all sent.

Anybody have any input?

Currently using buddypress plug-in and having one problem with plug-in. User profile page is not visible for log-out user. Whenever user (log-out user) click on other user’s profile, they are automatically redirect to home page.

Is there any way to fix it?

I’m using WordPress 4.9.8, BuddyPress 3.0, BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types 1.0.6 and Conditional Profile Fields for BuddyPress 1.2.4.
I created a a group of profile fields with only one field that is be a drop down list with a list of categories. A second group with fields that depend on the category selected in the first group, and a third group that the fields depend also on the category selected in the drop down list. When I go to the users profile edit and select a category from the drop down list, I can complete the info for that category. That works as a charm. But my intention is that the user could select more than one category.
When I select the second category I can fill all the fields and save, but the first category disappears. Is there any way to display two or more tabs with custom fields?

I want to display ‘button of BuddyPress Follow’ at the front page.

I’m tring this code on ‘front.php’

But There is only ‘button of messages’ So, didn’t displayed ‘button of BuddyPress Follow’.

My website is an adult company that has not launched yet. So with respect to those viewing this thread I will not share a link to site. But I am using the BeSocial Theme.

My Problem is:
I create a dropdown profile field. Save it in admin. But when a member edits on the front end, the selection is not saved. Nothing shows in database. Doesn’t show on their profile etc. Its as if they never made a selection even though the site says the save was successful.

I am at a lost on what is going on. It is also happening on multi-select box. Other forms are saving though.

Only the dropdown style fields are not saving.

Please help anyone

i hope some one has a solution for this as i’m using buddypress and simple events however lately it makes a conflict with wpforo, if i have simple event active wpforo will not display its page, but deactivate simple events wpforo works normally..

for the rest all is working except for that event plugin 🙁

I am looking for a way to create Patreon-like features within buddypress

i.e. give members a way to protect content on a specific tab, or group they admin to only allow paid subscribers to view.
for the purpose of this example I will use 2 made up roles “reg-user” and “prem-user”. both are buddypress member types.

“prem-user” should be able to have protected content, ether a tab or a group, that is locked and can not be viewed by other members without a subscription to “prem-user”‘s profile.

example:
“reg-user” browses the member directory, chooses a “prem-user” member and enjoys the content that the “prem-user”member provides for free. “Reg-user” wants to view “prem-user”s paid content, and so purchases a subscription to “prem-users” premium tab or group. “Prem-user” gets a % of the subscription fee, recurringly until “reg-user” cancels subscription or payment is declined.

“reg-user” should only have access to the paid content he subscribed to, and can subscribe to as many “prem-users” as they want to, by paying for a new monthly subscription for each “prem-user”

It looks like this can be done with MyCred BP Charges plugin, but I do not want to use mycred I would prefer to stick to dollar values w/o gamification.

I realize this topic has been covered multiple times, but I can’t find a solution that works for me.
I can’t add users to BuddyPress and BuddyPress is pretty useless without users. I can’t send out invites because I have no friends. I’ve tried adding users from the WP dashboard, by clicking edit on My_Group /add users, but nothing happens.
I am using WP vers 4.9.8 running a DIVI theme and am trying to use BuddyPress vers 4.0.0 . Since I’m trying to create a password protected closed group, I am also trying to run BuddyPress Members Only, although it is currently inactive.
