Is there a $bp variable for the logged in username, not the ID #.
I’ve tried a bunch of combination’s and can’t get it to display. I thought this might have it, http://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/1021/trunk/bp-core.php, but it didn’t, and neither did this, http://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=1125#post-5338.
Any help would be appreciated!

Topic: Sort Alphabetically function
Hi,
I\’m wondering how to do this, because it have a TinyMCE plugin included in BP-DEV plugins but without instructions.I\’ve also search for it on several forums and didn\’t find an answer.
I\’m running the latest WPMU, latest buddypress and bpdev via svn.All of them are freshly updated.TinyMCE is activated but nothing appears, I guess that you need to add some code but what kind exactly.
I just need that somebody show me the way to do that, I don\’t want that a talentued develloper loose time for me.
Hello there, I’m new to BP so please help me out.
I downloaded and installed everything, all working 100%. BUT, when I download the translated file buddypress-pt_BR(extensions) the theme starts to bug out. For example: when the pt_BR language is activated I cannot use “Members, Who’s Online, Welcome, and others” widget.
I tried doing step-by-step. I used the orginal language file, and it was working 100% again, then I downloaded the original language file to be translated. Then, I translated a couple of words using Poedit, saved and uploaded both files, the .po and .mo, named as suppose.
In this case, if I translate the word “Members” then it won’t show up on the Widget. If that word is not translated it WILL show up. The same for widget “Who’s Online”, if the word is not translated, it DOES show up, but when I translate and import the file it DOES NOT show up.
Does anyone have a solution for this? It seems to be a BUG because when I check the .po file the lines does not match “in my opinion”
For example:
on the buddypress-pt_BR.po file, it says:
#: bp-activity.php:192
#: bp-activity/feeds/bp-activity-personal-feed.php:21
msgid “Activity”
msgstr “Atividade”
But, if you go to the bp-activity.php line 192, all it says is:
if ( bp_is_home() ) {
And if you go to the second file on line 21, it is there:
<title><?php echo $bp->displayed_user->fullname; ?> – <?php _e( ‘Activity’, ‘buddypress’ ) ?></title>
Not sure if that has anything to do with how the translation works, but does any one no how to fix this?
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you.
Topic: please help: Choosing a Host
running WPMU + Buddypress + lots more…
currently hosted on Godaddy-shared hosting (godaddy blows)
I’m looking for advice when selecting a dedicated / virtual dedicated server
Media Temple looks good…
Dream Host Looks good…
What are your thoughts?
What does buddypress.org run on?
thanks. thanks. thanks
Otherwise you can type it in the address bar yourself or customize the theme to fit the way you want it to perform. Aside from that, none of the WPMU themes will know how to redirect you to any specific blog admin area aside from their own, and they wouldn’t know which other blogs you have access to. That’s what the BuddyBar is fore. (Note to self: It would be cool to have a link to the admin area of each blog when viewing /blogs/my-blogs.)
