ParticipantIf you are just trying things out please use:
Version 1.7 will offer theme compatibility and work with most WP themes. At the moment you would need to do some template modifications to get things to work with your theme.
If you have already begun the template pack process remove any BP files/folders copied over to your theme.

ParticipantProbably means some server problem. Have you updated the server plugin? I had to modify it, maybe the old version doesn’t work with the new configuration. Also, make sure your ‘website’ setting is just the base URL http://www.yoursite.com/

@mercime
Participant@wilsoncortezribeiro I don’t know what you expect from us when the Project Lead of both BuddyPress and bbPress already mentioned
Multiple forums per BuddyPress Group is started in bbPress, but likely wonβt be finished for several months.
What moebis posted there was hacking bbPress core file which is not recommended at all. Of course that wouldn’t stop coders who know what they’re doing and would be able to create a fix when bbPress is upgraded. Still, it’s not kosher to hack core files at all.

How can this be fixed?April 7, 2013 at 4:58 am #160169In reply to: Deleting all previous install info
@mercime
Participant@astromono
first step -> backup database and server files.
second step -> https://codex.buddypress.org/user/buddypress-site-administration/deleting-buddypress/April 7, 2013 at 2:50 am #160165In reply to: Group Forum Rights
@mercime
ParticipantIs it possible to assign Groups to Forums?
@clendanielc You only need one WP/BP installation. It’s more of allowing Groups to create Group Forums https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/ Forum visibility will be based on your Group’s Privacy SettingsApril 7, 2013 at 2:45 am #160164In reply to: Spam user accounts

Participant@gcarlos8377 Before installing BuddyPress, I suggest creating the network first. Then before activating BuddyPress, decide where you want BuddyPress “installed”. If in main site, no problem as it is the default location. If in subsite (whether MS subdomain or subdirectory), then you have to add the following line to your wp-config.php before activating BP:
define ( ‘BP_ROOT_BLOG’, 3 );
change 3 to ID of subsite https://codex.buddypress.org/user/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/

Participant@jddeisel You mean you’re using BP 1.7 beta 1 or RC 1, right? I suggest following up at plugin dev’s site re when plugin will be updated … probably when BP 1.7 stable version rolls out. http://buddydev.com/buddypress/bp-redirect-to-profile-plugin-redirect-users-to-their-profile-on-login-on-buddypress-sites/
April 7, 2013 at 1:54 am #160160In reply to: Time When User was Active
@mercime
Participant@binutz re time active -> use UTC +/- in Settings rather than city name and change to BP Default theme. Are you using a cache plugin by any chance? If so, which one?
re members count -> What do you mean that it’s wrong? Is this an installation which had registered members prior to installing BuddyPress? Then members have to log in at least once to be “counted”
re users’ avatars missing -> You mean the only the mystery man is showing up or that even the mystery man is not showing up? Are you developing locally or online? Change to BP Default theme, are the avatars showing up?
re email activation issue -> Are you sure that your installation is sending those activation emails in the first place? Or, have your users checked in their email spam folders? Where are you hosted?
