thanks for the feedback. I wondered about a couple things. I guess with HTML5, it’s no longer recommended the form action be blank (the buddypress form contains action=””) due to unpredictable browser behavior. I tested this by editing html in the browser and submitting but didn’t seem to make a difference:

Another buddypress bug I found here that seems to be the issue I’m experiencing.. but it was patched in 2.0.1 and I’m running 2.0.2.. Could this be related in some way? I’m having problems figuring this out..

Welcome Pack was written by one of the Lead Developers of BuddyPress so I have no hesitation in recommending it. My advice would be to set up a test site, install the plugin and play around with it to see if it works for you
I was wondering if there is a buddypress plugin enabling to send welcome e-mails to new members? I’m having a hard time finding one. There was Buddypress Welcome Pack, but it’s not maintained anymore.
Okay well I am really stupid guys and I am sorry for wasting your time and offending the first guy i managed to fix it.
I manually created the databases renamed all my databases for security and it is 100% functional so I really am sorry for wasting your guys’ time >.< sleep well and happy Halloween….
Steps I did.
1. MY second website had Buddypress databases I dropped the information and kept the formatting.
2. I optimized all databases through the phpmyadmin
3. I repaired it as well.

I’m running Buddypress and BBpress, I have groups enabled, and I’m simply trying to edit the page within Groups > Manage > Forum
The page gives you the option to start the process of creating a forum for your group.
I’m just simply trying to find where I can edit this page in the files so I can changethe wording and title etc.
The page says:

Where can I locate the file to edit this text?
I’ve found all the other Groups manage pages within the admin.php file. But this one is not controlled through that page.

Your theme does not support Buddypress according to your developer it is best if you contact your developer and ask him/her and see if they can include or help you work out the issues with their theme and Buddypress

Additional Issues
All users are marked as spam.. I was reading on some earlier issues and everyone is marked as a spammer upon registration in the extended profile tab. There are also no groups in the extended profile tab which is odd and I cant create it without it giving me an error saying
“There was an error saving the group. Please try again”

@mbwd And that is normal/default configuration for BuddyPress pages. You only need to go to Settings > Discussions check “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” in the other comment settings to cover the regular blog posts.
I used filters and found tutorials how to do it, but no one works for me.

@elprebsi Last time I checked, Canvas is not compatible with BuddyPress. Confirm with canvas theme support/forums whether latest version is compatible with BP. Check if issue is resolved when using BuddyPress and Twenty Fourteen or any of the WP Default themes only.
I have several sites. Now I have made a new one with wordpress 4.0 and buddypress 2.1.1-
When I click on edit profil it goes to /groups/1/ and not to /members/elprebsi/profile/edit/group/1/
I have tried to deactivate buddypress, bbpress and woo canvas. then it works fine. when I reactivate buddypress alone it does not work.
Is there a sulotion?

Hello everyone I guess a proper introduction is in order. I am Scott *waves* I have been plagued by a recent string of issues and I cant figure them out.
Basic Issue
First off I would like to say BuddyPress is not creating database tables. I have been into PhP myadmin and there are no database tables being created by it. I have tried with other plugins to see if reinstalling them would recreate database tables they do
(Ithemes security was used as a test to see if tables were created upon installation they were).
I believe this to be the main cause of the problems and I have tried the following
Reinstalling: I deleted all files relating to BuddyPress through the WordPress dashboard and reinstalled it no change.
Tools: Buddypress has a number of tools that can be used to help repair broken counters (i have used them all) has failed to work.

I believe this is an issue with the Aeron Theme (ab-themes.com), but they have disavowed any compatibility with buddypress.. But, I’m still looking for a fix..
Basically, the errors on the registration form (link below) are not being generated in Safari / IE. Works in chrome / Firefox. It’s not a CSS issue because the errors themselves are not being generated.. So, it appears as if nothing happens when submitting the form (it just clears the fields and looks as if the page reloaded. To test, you can just submit the form to see or not see errors.
Switching to twentyfourteen resolves the issue. Any ideas?

Hello @boki88! Unfortunately it sounds like theme you are using does not have the ability to change those BuddyPress styles without some custom coding. Fortunately, it looks like you have Jetpack enabled and Jetpack has a CSS editor where you can enter custom styles without having to edit code in the theme files.
Go to the edit css page (http://anibusters.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=editcss) and enter the following style:
.gp-theme #buddypress #activity-stream p { color: black; }

Agreed but I think it depends somewhat on the community. I can see email alerts being highly useful in some communities and not so useful elsewhere.
BuddyPress is first and foremost a platform. It puts foundations in place for people to build on (hence why we have plugins and themes). The Live Notifications plugin is a good example. It makes use of the bp_notifications database table put in place by BuddyPress. If a webmaster wants to have ‘live’ notification functionality, then they can use that particular plugin. Keep in mind some webmasters may have no need for live notifications and may not want them on their site. Each (WordPress) AJAX request makes a call to admin-ajax.php – which results in a very slight delay in page load speed due to the extra processing required. This delay might not be very noticeable on sites with low activity or extremely powerful servers, but could be very noticeable on a site using a clunky hosting infrastructure or on a site with tons of activity. Imagine packing feature after feature into core by default – it would bloat the plugin unnecessarily.
I had been designing a BuddyPress site for a couple months now and I had several plugins installed. Every plugin was working well with each other. I decided to make a few major changes and I installed several more plugins to test. I did a lot of installing, testing, and uninstalling. Eventually I wound up installing Jetpack when I noticed that comments and activity posts were not working correctly. I clicked on the activity page in my dashboard and I noticed an error notice from the AG Custom Admin plugin.
I uninstalled every plugin one at a time and the error never went away. I began to investigate the code when I soon notice that I could no longer log in to my back end. I tried everything i could think of. Ultimately ended up deleting BuddyPress folder in my FileManager and reinstalled it. Same error with only BuddyPress and AG Custom Admin. I uninstalled the entire wordpress site from my server and started completely over.
I have uninstalled the database and started completely from scratch. I installed WordPress, and BuddyPress. I opened up my browser console and the error is still there.
Can anyone provide any insight? This has been a very frustrating process and I am not experienced enough to figure this out. I can’t seem to find anyone else who may have already solved this issue.
