ParticipantChrisClayton, thanks.
Can you tell how to enable shortcodes on activity stream of profiles, groups etc.
Or, is there simple way to enable it everywhere?

ParticipantSo ‘friend’ hasn’t actually made an attempt to work this up or if so how far did they get?
This does smack a great deal of treating the forum as a coding service!
It may be an idea to wait for 1.7 to be released then this process will be a whole lot easier.
fwiw hasn’t ”Continuum’ already been packed by @mercime?
Yep it has, OP you really need to check these things first, you should have checked the BP codex first you would have seen the link to the guide with all the work done already for you.

Participanthttps://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.6.4/bp-themes/bp-default/members/single/profile/edit.php would normally correspond to huddle/members/single/profile/edit.php file. Since you’re using a premium theme, we have no way to know if the theme author changed the HTML structure of that page. Back up your theme’s edit.php file and watch out that when you change the PHP tags, you won’t mess up the HTML tags in return.

Participant@indirakrishna – Chat is a huge area, and there are all kinds of solutions (some better than others) 🙂
It depends on how you need the chat plugin to function, really.

And @Talon is it working on your site now ? And how is it ? are there better or best alternates for point and ranking system for all the buddypress users

ParticipantYou are right but the author is not available for six months so I must find another way. Do you now which page is responsible in the standard BuddyPress theme? Is it easy to copy the responsible section of the plugin into the section of the Huddle theme?
I appreciate any support that help 🙂

@mercime
Participant@resom that’s really strange. Is this a new installation? Have you deactivated plugins except BuddyPress to check if there’s some conflict?

KeymasterHowdy y’all. This was a small bug introduced in BuddyPress 1.5, that is now fixed in trunk, and will come as part of 1.7. I’ll cross-post this to bbpress.org, since I know users there are having these issues also.

ParticipantLook at:
Line 252 of wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core-template.php
You can create a filter in function.php, or just hard code the search box (look at the HTML for the search bar, then replace the call for it with a call to template file, or edit the core code.

ParticipantYou could add “/forum” to the end of the permalinks on “groups/groups-loop.php” of your theme.

ParticipantTake a look at this topic:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/changing-group-tab-display-defaults/#post-55449
I set a custom tab as the default for my internal collaboration system based on BP, can’t recall exactly how I did it but the above topic looks about right.
