@thesupercargo you can send a request to our website, we will respond.
It’s a support forum, I think it’s not a good approach to discuss site-specific scope and rates here.

I did a EDIT in a FORUM Post but in the ACTIVITY feed it doesn’t change it?
Is there a way to get a edit in BBPRESS to change the ACTIVITY feed on the fly when editing?

    Good Day,
I currently have BuddyPress Create Group Type and BuddyPress installed on my word press website. I use it such a way the administrators of each group do not necessarily have to edit a few of the settings because they are usually less tech savy. I would like to know is it possible to hide some of the settings on the front end in the management window such as settings, delete and forums.

Also I would like to know if it is possible to have the email information that is sent to person when they are rejected from a group to be changed? Because we find the you have been rejected message a bit harsh.

    Hi,
Well as BuddyBoss is just a fork of BuddyPress, and considering most of the stuff that works for BuddyPress works for BuddyBoss too… In fact I’m pretty sure that for this exact problem I have both plugins work the same way.

I already asked them and they didn’t help me at all. Besides, they don’t have any kind of user forum, and this community looks way more helpful.

These are the forums for BuddyPress.
If you are using the BuddyBoss plugin – you need to contact them with your questions.

BuddyPress does not create forums – use bbPress for that.
And ask bbPress if it can import your existing forums.

The members loop is not a forum. Forums are added with the bbPress plugin.
Check the bbPress settings for allowed roles. afaik, subscribers are allowed by default.

Thank you, yes of course, I am sorry for some reason I thought it would come under this buddypress forum. lol

Can you recommend a buddypress profile search or is BP Profile Search the only one.

Many thanks for replying 🙂 much appreciated

    Hey thanks @robin-w 🙏

Just wanted to confirm that your plugin linked above does works, out of the box, in the Visual editor box, and also in bbpress forums as well as in buddypress.

    Nice!

I am using bbPress and BuddyPress within my site, BuddyPress for accounts/profiles and bbPress for forums. When a user comments on the site, it is displayed on the topic and within the user’s profile in their activity stream, which is great. However, when the user deletes their comment/reply (within the topic that the reply was made), it is not deleted in their profile and can still be seen. This is also the case if the user deletes their comment/reply from within their profile.

It seems as though bbPress and BuddyPress are not syncing with one another. Are there any fixes for this issue?

I’m using Paid Memberships Pro to structure membership levels across my site, with free / premium levels. Free members are not able to message members, send connections requests, etc.

However, I’ve noticed that the messages tab still appears for free levels, but redirects to a seemingly randomly page. I’m not sure why.

The tabs works correctly for Premium levels.

Is there a way to hide the message tab based on membership level?

I have used the code snippets on this very useful thread to hide profile tabs to non-logged-in users. Can these snippets be adapted for this, or is there a better way?

Another suggestion would be to expand the codex and include all the hooks and filters so that we code happy types can actually look stuff up. There is this, but at best it seems woefully incomplete. We’re on 7.2.0 and the top entry on that page leads to a PDF for 2.8.2’s hooks.

Getting the boards back on-topic would be a huge help too. Take this third-party plugins post as an example. Surely that belongs in Requests & Feedback?

An FAQ that the moderators and active helpers on the forum can point answers to would enable more people to give helpful answers to other users. If said power users can also contribute to the FAQ too, that could really expand the site’s usefulness.

    Hi all,

I’m trying to modify the BuddyPress activity loop for my BuddyBoss site. I have quite a specific outcome in mind, but any help towards attaining this will be very welcome. I have a rough idea of most of the moving parts but I’m finding it difficult to pull it all together so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to make a loop that shows forum replies and discussions which have an image uploaded to them and are posted with a specific word or hashtag.

    I have two major questions:

    1. Does anybody have an example of a working loop which could be placed into a PHP shortcode creator so I can experiment with the different things the loop can be modified to show? I’m having trouble even creating a working loop right now.

    2. I know I can search through loops via keyword to filter out the hashtag, but is anyone aware of how to only return replies or discussion posts with images attached/uploaded? I can’t seem to work this bit out.

    Any information very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @roman1wp

    1. Thanks for your feedback about the BP Beta Tester plugin. I was able to fix it and I’ll soon deploy this release https://github.com/buddypress/bp-beta-tester/releases/tag/1.2.0 on the WP.org Plugins directory.
    2. About BuddyX, I advise you to report the issue on the Theme’s support forum.

    hi

    I use bbpress+buddypress
member -> forums is can see a list of the created topics.

My information (list of my topics) does not have any problem with page changes,
Another user’s topic list has a problem.

    I’ll explain the details
First, the place I’m talking about is the forum menu on the profile page.
ref to this image link : https://ibb.co/xs3Bbkx

my topic’s list page 2,3,4 url address is
    ez) http://site_url/member/MYID/forums/topics/page/3/

ref to this image link : https://ibb.co/KxSJtby

my topic list is no problem, it’s ok

however other user’s topic list occur problem
    The first page is fine
ref to this image link : https://ibb.co/FHzp84n

but page 2,3,4,… is 404 error occur

    url address is
    http://site_url/member/%5BOTEHR_USER_ID%5D/page/2/

ref to this image link : https://ibb.co/Dpf6hty

So if I directly enter the address as below, it will be displayed normally.
    http://site_url/member/%5BOTEHR_USER_ID%5D/forums/topics/page/2/

ref to this image link : https://ibb.co/NnznmQT

There seems to be a problem in the URL address conversion process(be my guess)

I really need help to solve this problem

    Best Regards,

Hi there I am on Version 5.6 for WordPress and latest BuddyPress version.

I have forums for this website but they are private at the moment. So I am going to describe my problem as best I can and if need be I can create an account for someone to log in and have a look quickly. The site is https://first-aid-for-stress.com/

Basically. Everything seems to work fine apart from when I try to access the Forums from two different locations.

This is all through memberpress as well. As people sign up through that and get access to the private forums.

Basically when you go into a group you see the Activity Feed. And the example being. You see this activity in one of the Topics “idwithin started the topic ‘Accessing Your Course Material’ in the forum Welcome! Come and say hello”

When i click on the “Accessing Your Course Material” link to take me to the topic. It gives me this link https://first-aid-for-stress.com/groups/welcome-come-and-say-hello/forum/topic/accessing-your-course-material/ – and a 404 saying Page does not exist.

Yet when I go into the Tab that says Forum and select the Topic from this list then it works as it should. But gives me a completely different URL – https://first-aid-for-stress.com/members-forum/welcome-come-and-say-hello/forum/topic/accessing-your-course-material/

This is what I cannot figure out. As there is obviously a problem with how the link is structured. I’ve been through the settings and can’t see anything wrong.

Thank You i hope I explained it enough.

Hi, we need some urgent advice.

We are completing an app based the buddyPress site we launched years ago.

    https://i.ibb.co/rxXN9NG/image-2021-05-06-T05-11-40-687-Z.png

The badges on the notification will display
    1. number of new messages not yet opened by user.
    2. new friend request
    3. new posts on the forums the user follows.

As the user checks these new messages, the count displayed in the badge will go down.

    Something like this:

    https://i.ibb.co/txsQ2n6/image-2021-05-06-T05-04-40-027-Z.png

Or if updating the count is complex, we can go with a badge that clearly indicates there are new messages waiting to be checked.

    Like this
    https://i.ibb.co/0QfC1nD/hudl-notifications-2x.png

We would like to implement something that is simple and robust without much change to our codes already built.

    Your suggestion is greatly appreciated.

    Hi everybody,
I would like to display the exifs data on the jpg uploaded on my bbpress forum. Actually, I use exify on google chrome to do that. And I would integrate the same function to the forum bbp. Which file do I modify?(All my pictures are uploaded with exif data). Or do you know a plug-in to do that. I have already tested Exifography, exif viewer, …) But They don’t have this option, it’s only for the gallery not for a forum.
Thank you in advance for your help.
