    That’s strange! The credentials to use are the same as those you use here in the forum so if you can log in here then you should be able to log in there. Can you try clearing your cookies?

    I just tried (with the same details I use here in the forum) and was able to log in successfully. Are you still having trouble?

    This sounds like an email sent by the paidmembershipspro plugin, which BuddyPress has no control over. Have you contacted that plugin’s developers for support? Or posted on its WordPress.org support forums?

    Site access is restricted to members, and i won’t register anyway. Yes it’s probably theme related, but check also some settings.
    Can users comment on your site ?
    Have you tested with Twenty Sixteen or Fifteen theme ? If not you should do this. If it works with Twenty contact your theme support, who can help you to adjust CSS.

    You could also search the forum for similar question to yours.

    I’ve already done the create a group and add users to the group thing. The biggest thing I’d like to achieve is the different Profile Styling and layout for members of specific groups. That said, groups have the ability to have different avatars and stuff (rather than layouts) at least from what I’ve seen.

    I’ve asked a question recently on the bbpress forums and no one has tried to answer yet. It was different from the above. Figured it’d be best to have one thread answered before posting another as that place isn’t as active.

    I’d create each group and assign users to each group

    check if this plugin still works

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-groupomatic/

    I’d also like to know if it’s possible to have a Profile Page layout for the user’s profile

    BuddyPress 2.6.0 has custom profile pages which is yet to have a stable release. you might want to test the beta out. Currently BP has custom group pages

    Regarding forums better to check out the bbpress codex/forums

    @fidelduque,

    welcome here ! To not loose your changes, you need a child-theme.

    Theme Compatibility & Template Files

    Note that we can’t assist you here for premium theme, as we have no access to the code, but if you search the forum, you will find many topics related to child theme, profile-loop and customization.

    As you’re new, please read here.

    Hi @damian12,

    welcome on BuddyPress Support Forum !

    Once you’re logged in, select a categorie from the left menu column.
    At the bottom of the page, you’ll see the topic editor.

    As you’re new here, please read here first.
    There is also documentation on hand where you can find a lot of information about BP settings and other cool stuff.

    @gettingdownunder,

    did you asked on WP Job Manager support forum ? If you didn’t receive any response here, it’s probably because you’re on a BuddyPress forum.

    Untill somebody use the same plugin with BP and know also the same issue, it’s better to ask first the authors of the plugin you try to integrate to BP.

    Meanwhile, have you made some tests and tried to debug your install ?

    There is a security mod on the server who doesn’t like what’s going on. You have to ask your host about that.

    Enable wp_debug in wp-config.php and see if you get some warnings or notices.

    Also use code button when you insert code and avoid to show your site information on a public forum when you have a security issue.

    I modified your topic accordingly.

    @kalico – You should post your question on the CBOX forums:

    About the Project

    If the problem is with Docs, do post a bug report here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-docs

    You could also try upgrading to the latest version of BuddyPress Docs to see if that fixes your problem.

    My english is not good so i hope you are talking about my problem that buddypress display default wordpress post on activity stream with image or image + text… But when i add (attach isnert with url) embed video to post on backend admin side, buddypress do not display this video. Just display “Mrx wrote a new post, ABC (Post Title)”. if i click post title open in new window and i can see the embed video there…

    Why my buddypress activity do not display embeded video post on activiy…Only text or image can be display…. All my WP and BP version latest, also test it default wordpress themes.

    Very import for me… I am searching this topic last 7 days and askink forum but no reply…

    Seems not to be a BuddyPress question. BuddyPress doesn’t use categories. Permalink is a WordPress setting.

    Avada is a premium theme framework. We have no acces to his code and can’t help you here. Check Avada support.

    bbPress is a separate plugin. Check bbP support.

    What could i do ?

    – read the documentation
    – review all your settings
    – ask for help on the appropriate support forum.

    Hi @sharmavishal ! Thanks for asking! bbPress was network activated initially (the CBOX plugin activates everything network-wide; it is a “network only” plugin). But as per my last post, I deactivated it from CBOX and activated it just on the one subsite (the root blog for BuddyPress).

    After some additional testing tonight, I’ve narrowed down the problem a bit more. At least I know which CBOX plugin is causing the problem:

    1) I deactivated all the CBOX plugins, except for BuddyPress. Tested forums/groups and it all appears to be associated properly. The users can see the private forums in private groups. Yay!

    2) I activated the “Group Email Subscriptions” plugin via CBOX, since that one is very important to our existing setup. Forums/groups associations are still working fine. Yay again!

    3) I activated the “Docs” plugin via CBOX, and WHAMM! It clobbered my forum visibility! Now only admin can see forums on the front end “group” pages. I tried deactivating it from CBOX (which makes it network-wide) then activating it just on the root site for BuddyPress, and it still has the same breaking effect.

    We really need “Docs” working, so now the focus is on figuring out why Docs is breaking the forums.

    I suppose my next step will be deactivating other plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict with “Docs”.

    I hope someone has an idea to share! 🙂

    I ended up using this for

    function bpfr_profile_menu_tab_pos(){
    global $bp;

    if ( !bp_is_home()) {
    $bp->bp_nav[‘activity’][‘position’] = 30;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘forums’][‘position’] = 50;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘profile’][‘position’] = 10;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘location’] = false;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘notifications’][‘position’] = 40;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘friends’][‘position’] = 20;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘groups’][‘position’] = 60;
    $bp->bp_nav[‘activity’] = false;
    }
    }
    add_action(‘bp_setup_nav’, ‘bpfr_profile_menu_tab_pos’, 100);

    I may have managed to shake out some of these issues by de-network-activating bbPress, and re-activating it just on the root BuddyPress site. I rebooted my permalinks on that site, and that part seems to be improved.

    However, I still have the core problem: Private forums are not associated with their private groups. Users see a message that says

    When I try to repair those relationships (groups/forums) the message says, “Repairing BuddyPress group-forum relationships… Complete! 0 groups updated; 0 forums updated; 0 forum statuses synced.”

    you need to have a wordpress multisite done….and install buddypress on a folder/domain…check codex’s of both..you will get an idea how you can run wp on main domain and bp on sub domain or sub folder

    trust me..you are not able to manage in the current scenario which you have…

    this is a free support forum..you dont need to talk to me on a one2one basis…custom help is not an option here…you might have a look at the job board if you are looking at custom help

    best of luck

    Hi there! Yes, sorry. So for example:

    http://i64.tinypic.com/212smx5.png

    This is a shot of the page showing all site activity. The first one at the bottom shows I replied to the topic in the bbpress forum. This is standalone, I beleive, as I don’t have any group forums enabled. So anyway yes, I expected it to show up once here.

    I immediately edited the post because I saw a typo. So the activity feed showed it again. I thought this was activity-only stream, but then a user emailed me this:

    http://i66.tinypic.com/2vcwaqq.jpg

    I had mentioned her in the post, and then edited immediately after, so it notified her again.

    Hi @littlemisslanna,

    can you give more details please ?
    Which type of forum do you use: bbpress as stanalone or group forums ?
    Do you mean “edit” or “publish” ? – it’s not the same thing. They’re no notification when you edit (aka modify) a topic.
    What do you mean by notification ? A private mail or the activity stream information (site, group, profile…) ?

    on buddyboss @djpaul they were excellent when they came up with the buddyboss theme…now they got multiple themes and plugins..and if you would check their support forums you would see the user feedback on their new themes now including the boss theme as well
