Topic: Mark as spammer option
I noticed something really cool in my last theme and perhaps it would be beneficial for the buddy press software to have this options.
It makes for a real great increase in productivity.
When visiting the user profile main page upon registration e-mail notification I have a drop down option to mark as spammer and delete the users with two clicks.
With the new default theme you have to visit the users page and then select profile. Can we have it on the landing page?
How could I add that?
We’re trying to do whatever we can to fight spam. We would like to change the slug of our registration page and have added the following to our wp-config, but nothing happens:
define( ‘BP_REGISTER_SLUG’, ‘joinusnow’ );
This has no effect on our registration slug, what are we missing? Any ideas?
Hi, I think you should apply filters to the queries done by function get_users() :
eg. with my plugin bp-real-names :
when you search a user by “word”, the core query looks like :
SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT u.ID) FROM wp_users u LEFT JOIN wp_usermeta um ON um.user_id = u.ID LEFT JOIN wp_bp_xprofile_data pd ON u.ID = pd.user_id WHERE u.spam = 0 AND u.deleted = 0 AND u.user_status = 0 AND pd.field_id = 1 AND pd.value LIKE ‘%%admin%%’ ORDER BY pd.value ASC
but I need to be able to change this to
SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT u.ID) FROM wp_users u LEFT JOIN wp_usermeta um ON um.user_id = u.ID LEFT JOIN wp_bp_xprofile_data pd ON u.ID = pd.user_id WHERE u.spam = 0 AND u.deleted = 0 AND u.user_status = 0 AND pd.field_id = 4 AND pd.value LIKE ‘%%Smith%%’ ORDER BY pd.value ASC
This is not possible actually as I see…
