Participant@davidtcarson Sounds great! Will wait for the version in the repository then. I think your theme will become really popular since there’s a huge lack of good looking themes and since it’s a child theme to the original theme and thus easier to update. Thanks again for all your work and count on me to help spread the word!

ParticipantNo, that is where i started.
I added:
define( ‘BP_DEFAULT_COMPONENT’, ‘sites’ );to bp-custom and now it does.
so the page https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/changing-internal-configuration-settings/ is incorrect.
I currently have:
define( ‘BP_MEMBERS_SLUG’, ‘clients’ );
define ( ‘BP_BLOGS_SLUG’, ‘sites’ );
define( ‘BP_DEFAULT_COMPONENT’, ‘sites’ );//define ( ‘BP_IGNORE_DEPRECATED’, true );
//define ( ‘BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG’, true );//define( ‘BP_DTHEME_DISABLE_CUSTOM_HEADER’, true );
define( ‘BP_SILENCE_THEME_NOTICE’, true );
//define( ‘BP_ENABLE_USERNAME_COMPATIBILITY_MODE’, true );
define ( ‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, true );in wp-config. all seem to work accept the default profile page.

KeymasterAfter you’ve installed BuddyPress, what happens when you switch to the bp-default theme?
In the WP dashboard, navigate to “Appearance > Themes” after you have installed BuddyPress and select “BuddyPress Default 1.5”Do not activate BP Template Pack yet. What happens?
Does BuddyPress function on the site?

KeymasterPut the following lines into your theme’s functions.php file:
if ( !function_exists( 'is_site_admin' ) ) : function is_site_admin() { return is_super_admin(); } endif;September 22, 2011 at 2:51 pm #120625In reply to: Frisco Child Theme

Participant`What about commercial projects, will you consider a paid version with support and updates so that it’s attractive as a long term solution for BuddyPress projects?`
At this point, no. I’ll consider it if there is enough interest.

Participant@angslycke Yes, 100% free. It has been submitted to the WP theme repository and should be available soon. I will post another message once that’s up. The version submitted to the repository has some minor updates from the github version currently available. So it’s a good idea to wait for the theme repository version for a live site.

ModeratorYes you would want to wait to upgrade until your theme is also supporting it I’m afraid. It is probably something simple but you do need to get the update.

ModeratorFirst up can we clarify a few things:
1. Is this the drop down search ie; term and you select where you search for it?
2. Is this using the default theme for BuddyPress 1.5 and if you do use that (if haven’t) do you get the same issues?

ParticipantWow, just discovered this theme and it looks GREAT! Definitely something I’ll be checking out once it’s in the repository. Are you releasing it for free? What about commercial projects, will you consider a paid version with support and updates so that it’s attractive as a long term solution for BuddyPress projects?

Boone Gorges
KeymasterYou’ll have to provide more details. Child themes work in all my tests, and in all the tests that have been run by those participating in development on Trac.
For instance, this minimal child theme works as expected:
`/*
Theme Name: BP Child
Tags: buddypress
Template: bp-default
*/body {
font-size: 30pt;
}`That’s the content of wp-content/themes/style.css.
I’m also not exactly sure what you mean by the last part, about the template pack. The plugin itself really doesn’t contain much “theme” at all. It copies templates, and loads javascript, directly from bp-default.

Member@Manu-PB for correct result you mast add in code symbol ‘&’
For exaple: if you edit file In the file Themes / Your_Theme / Members / members-loop.php near the begin of it:
to this:if ( bp_has_members( bp_ajax_querystring( ‘members’ ).’&per_page=XX’ ) ) : ?>
where XX – is number
tested on my own BP – it work

MemberI just updated to it. So what you are telling me is that I should go into notepad, create these files with the proper coding and then add them to the root of my theme?

KeymasterWhich theme were you using? Was it BP-Default 1.5? If it was, that’s a bug.
