thanks mercime, that was really helpful. but actually, after reading your post, all i did was swap out the URLs in my child theme’s stylesheet, so now i have,

@import url( ../../plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/adminbar.css );that seems to have done the trick, as now if you visit the mockup2.html page, it looks just like the pre-mockup.
the next thing i’ll need to do is actually throw the switch by activating the theme in the wordpress admin, i think
with the above mockup page, all i did was copy the homepage source code and save it as a .html file so i could play around, and linked it to the child theme style.css by changing the link in the head. however to get this live on the site, I’m assuming i have to activate the child theme in the main wordpress dashboard, is this correct? (a little nervous).Hi,

When I use debug comes with members/www/profile/edit/group/1 and works.

I am having a difficult time allowing my users to rate and comment on a particular group in this plugin – http://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-group-reviews/My users can not rate the star system, but can give a text review of the particular group. When they hit submit, it will give them an error because they have not rated the system with the stars.
I have multiple WP sites and it looks like it is just not compatible with the newest WordPress (it works with later versions of WP). Not sure if the Author of the plugin has addressed this issue. Has anyone come up with a solution?

WP and BP are all up to date. When users try and change their passwords it generates this error

Alright, just added buddypress to my standard wordpress install last night. Till then, registering worked fine. After install now, when you click the register link, go to wp-signup.php OR wp-register.php, they all redirect to ‘/wp-login.php?action=register/’

PLease help. When I disable the plugin (not remove it), just disable, it works. ALso when I switch to twentyten default wordpress theme is works. But EVEN ON THE DEFAULT BUDDYPRESS THEME, it does nto work. I’ve tested tons fo themes, and the verdict is that when buddypress is active, the register link ONLY works with twentyten. I’ve tried tons of buddypress compatible themes. So it could be a theme problem, or it could e something in twentyten fixed the buddypress install.. I’ve tried to re-install buddypress 3 times now, same problem each time. Can’t figure it out! Please help!

I didn’t realize this was a problem. I’ll go patch it today. Easy fix. Please friend me or something if there’s a problem. I didn’t see this one until someone on the wordpress forum pinged me. I’m happy to fix stuff, just need to know

Ive installed the forums on my site, but the Forum tab (page) doesnt show up. Before I did have this working. If I try to acces it through Groups > Forum > Topic > Group Forums Directory (= http://www.hollanduktrade.nl/wordpress/forums/) it brings me back to the homepage.
Can anyone help?

still cannot figure this out. Can we please go 1 by 1? I have a single installation WP+BP and i have buddypress registration on, so everybody is becoming a member through BP. Let’s say that i want to create a simple widget “About me” and echo what the author’s filled in *this* profile field. The profile field would be called “About me
.This will appear only in author’s posts. I say again my wordpress installation is not MU but it is multi authors write in the same blog. this plugin does exactly what i want, but it echos the WP’s core “About me” and i want to modify it with buddyopres’s field!

As the admin of a wordpress 3.01 site using BP 1.2.6, I would like to be able to send one PM to multiple members, even though they may not be my friends.
How can I do this?
@thealchemist do bear in mind that Multisite is a WordPress feature (and therefore really a WP support issue rather than a BP one) even though we are happy to help where we can with non BP support issues
