Participant== Only issue i have is with this forums ==
No, you have an issue with all BP pages. Bringing your attention to the fact that the footer div is missing from the BP pages.
== I did it like 10 times, same result ==
What did you do 10x? Did you delete the BP folders in wp-content/themes/gonzo then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility?

Participant@aaron-nall I am interested in this as well. Do you have an ETA on plugin delivery? @ethanvan what is FriendPress and does it work? I am developing a site for veterans but I need activity to be private similar to facebook. Thanks!

ParticipantI would start troubleshooting this from the ground up as follows:
1) set up an exact copy of your site in a development environment (and preferably on the same server)
2) deactivate all plugins
3) switch to the Default BuddyPress themeDoes the problem persist?
The goal with the above method is to eliminate possible culprits.

ParticipantAre you using https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-group-email-subscription/ ?
From that plugin’s page: “DEFAULT SUBSCRIPTION STATUS Group admins can choose one of the 5 subscription levels as a default that gets applied when new members join.”

ParticipantHere are a couple of posts that might get you going in the right direction:
November 17, 2012 at 1:26 am #145175In reply to: The Relate categories to Groups plugin
@mercime
Participant@monkfish13 line 4 change to -> `return $post->post_name;`
HOWEVER, this might not work or could go seriously awry if there other other references to the post with group permalink in the other parts of the plugin. Best place to ask is at BuddyDev forums where the plugin dev knows the code inside and out.November 16, 2012 at 10:34 pm #145174In reply to: [Resolved] Netlabs Music Theme and Buddypress

November 16, 2012 at 8:29 pm #145170In reply to: 1.7 theme defined
@mercime
Participant@famous there’s no reason to hold off with a BP project or rush the developers because of the theme. Use BP Template Pack to make your WP theme compatible with BP for 1.6+ version. then when BP 1.7 rolls out, you can choose to deactivate the BP template pack plugin and remove the 6 folders and you’re set
We have template-packed more than 100 WP themes so far. Your theme might be one of those listed at https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#template-packed-wordpress-themes

Participant@modemlooper – thanks for this advice – I’ve copied this over into theme folder but it hasn’t made any difference – the javascript is working with the buddypress default theme so definitely a conflict with my theme (‘freshlife’). It’s just strange that everything is working fine apart from these two issues.

ParticipantThanks a lot @mercime ……it did what you said and it worked…..thanks for your cooperation…
but despite pasting the given code from https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/ to stylesheet, the problem still persists and the problem is identical to what is shown in the image.
I would be great full if you could assist me in this regard……November 16, 2012 at 6:44 pm #145156In reply to: Register Button not completing sign up

Participant== Select BuddyPress Template Pack, BuddyPress Template Pack ==
@mdebaun You’re using the BP Default theme. It is BP-ready/-compatible as it is. Deactivate/Delete those template packs, neither is needed when using the BP Default theme.

November 16, 2012 at 6:40 pm #145154@mercime
ParticipantDefinitely something’s awry.
– Deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and check if issue is resolved. If not,
– Have you tried re-uploading BuddyPress manually to wp-content/plugins/ i.e., via FTP/cpanel/etc.? -
