ParticipantHave you checked your error logs? Most likely you need to increase memory limits or check out other possibilities.

ParticipantFYI – The theme is now available in the WordPress Theme Directory. This thread was quite long, so I’ve started a new one and maybe this thread can be closed now.

MemberYes, this is just a Buddypress 1.5 site, the theme is updated to 1.5 and there are no other plugins whatsoever. You can view the site at http://lesue.com/3gasbags/ . Thanks for your prompt response.

MemberHi, This sounds like a real head scratcher, but I found some things you could get started with, http://devthought.com/2008/01/12/textboxlist-meets-autocompletion/ and http://www.brandspankingnew.net/specials/ajax_autosuggest/ajax_autosuggest_autocomplete.html I found them at http://www.noupe.com/tools/100-essential-web-development-tools.html Maybe writing a plugin that applies them to a text field in the BuddyPress custom fields. Thanks for asking for my help

ModeratorIs this happening without any plugins aside from BuddyPress? Assuming (which I think it is) the theme is updated to BuddyPress 1.5 and assuming you mean it is at the bottom vertical – is that right? A link really would help clarify where it is vertical though. It sounds to me like a scripting or CSS issue, again if you could provide a link that would help narrow the field.

ParticipantHi @piermaria
Have you had any luck upgrading the plugin to be compatible with BuddyPress 1.5? How much will this cost?

@mercime
Participant@Mike84 no worries. Which child theme are you using?
There still might be a solution although I haven’t seen a child theme of BP 1.2 cause white screen in front and backend yet.October 4, 2011 at 5:42 am #122364In reply to: How to Get User Profile Data

thansk a lot… online a cuestion, how i can display correctly date fields @enailor ???October 3, 2011 at 11:10 pm #121795In reply to: Display age on profile page

Participant@sbrajesh can you put this into a plugin please? I’m not sure if I got your post explaining it, so it would be easier if in form of a permanent plugin. This can further be very handy integrating with some ” coming birthdays ” plugin, but still that basic age showing is much needed. thank you.

KeymasterYou don’t need to do that any more. Just change the slug of the page mapped to registration (wp-admin BuddyPress > Pages).

Participant@KylieSocial I’d recommend creating a `custom.css` file and then using a basic CSS image replacement technique. http://css-tricks.com/630-css-image-replacement/

ParticipantGood stuff, @nosoura
Glad you like it.
The theme should not break any jquery. It looks like you’re using a boatload of plugins – I’m guessing one of those could be interfering.
Try deactivating plugins one by one to troubleshoot. Or try reverting to bp-default temporarily.
I will be posting another entry about this, but the theme was just published in the WordPress Theme directory – https://wordpress.org/extend/themes/frisco-for-buddypress
I’ve already fixed a few bugs since that initial version was uploaded. The newest version is currently under review and should be available soon. See https://github.com/davidtcarson/frisco or https://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5497 for the latest.

MemberI had the same problem and it turns out to be a super simple thing. You need to specifically enable mod_rewrite for apache.
Hope that helps.

Member@anaxent, thanks. You’re right, it’s one of those dumb mistake that shouldn’t have taken so long.
I moved rewrite.load from mods-avail to mods-enabled and restarted apache2 and voila!

Participant@kirkslater, nice idea! I hope you don’t mind me piggy backing off your post but your idea brought a related one to mind.
@sbrajesh, thanks for planting the seed. Is the following possible? Whether viewing the group or member directory, could the div for the list item; that is the row that contains the group or member, be made into a link that on hover, activates a tool tip that contains group or member profile data? And I’m not referring to hover over the existing member name link; since, in my opinion, this would require the user aim their cursor at a small defined space rather than the “acreage” a row represents.
The purpose behind the request is “context”. When looking at a list of members or groups, having the user click on the link for them to find out the details behind the member or group is wasteful and time-consuming. This is why kirkslater’s idea is so intriguing.

@mikey3d
Participant@sbrajesh @boonebgorges @DJPaul
Could you believe it where do you think I found this problem? I had this code in wp-config.php
define ( ‘BP_REGISTER_SLUG’, ‘please-sign-up’ );
That code didn’t works for buddypress 1.5. Why is that it? The URL is supposed to change…
From http://www.site.com/blog/register/ TO http://www.site.com/blog/please-sign-up/
When I delete this “define ( ‘BP_REGISTER_SLUG’, ‘please-sign-up’ );” – the Username availability checker for your site plugin is working.

Whew!!!!!!!, Mikey3D

KeymasterYou’re using both group forums and site-wide forums. Either rename the page you’ve assigned to the BuddyPress component so its link isn’t “forums”, or look into “Settings > Forums” in wp-admin; there’s an text box option that defaults to ‘forums’ (change it).
