Participant@matuh, have you read these instructions?

KeymasterOn the plus side, I am one of the admins on testbp. It’s probably because bbPress 2.0 tries to use “forums”, and BuddyPress also tries to use “forums”. BuddyPress must be winning.
Try going to wp-admin > Settings > Forums, and set the “Forums base” and “Topics base”. There’s also a page called “discussion”. I’ve not used bbPress 2.0, so I’m not really sure. @johnjamesjacoby will know!

ParticipantI’m going crazy here. Where can I get instructions how to create a forum page like this: http://testbp.org/discussion/ ? I have searched everywhere. I have asked from the admins in testbp, but no answer. It is not possible that there is no help how to set up this kind of forum.
Does anybody know who has set up this forum? How is this done? Are they using bbPress WordPress plugin or is it a standalone bbPress forum installation that is integrated into WP and BB?
Any help is appreciated!August 30, 2011 at 8:45 am #119242In reply to: BuddyPress theme with bbPress templates

ParticipantSomehow I got to show the forum main page, but all the forums and topics are now redirected to Group Forums Directory. I do not want to use groups forums. What could be the problem?

Keymasterdid you activate bbPress before BuddyPress? If you go to wp-admin BuddyPress menu, is it prompting you to run the updater?

MemberIf anyone else has this problem, I solved it by deactivating all the buddypress plugins including buddypress itself. Then I upgraded and reactivated the new buddypress, then upgraded and reactivated all the plugins. Lisa

MemberHey @embergermedia thought you might like to know that BP Profile Manager (developed by elgunvo) does a great job at hiding profile components based on S2member levels. This may resolve your IE problems.

Keymaster> This doesn’t have any effect, since the site where the post is saved will always equal BP_ROOT_BLOG.
I think that’s wrong. The site where the post is saved will be the site where the post is saved. If you have an MS install with three blogs:
1 – Boone’s Blog
2 – Feedmymedia’s blog
3 – Our BuddyPress community site (BP_ROOT_BLOG)when you publish a post on blog 1, $wpdb->blogid should equal 1, which is not the same as BP_ROOT_BLOG. Thus, your code should keep the item from being saved in the database.
It’s possible that I’m still misunderstanding what you’re intending to do, though.
What kinds of tests have you run on the code above? Did you do some var_dumps to make sure that the save_post hook is catching, and the function is being run? Did you see whether $wpdb->blogid actually does match BP_ROOT_BLOG in that case?

@mercime
ParticipantJust to clarify, the bbPress you’re referring to is the plugin, right? Because bp-default theme and BP themes in WP repo and premium do already add pages/style for internal bbPress forum bundled with BuddyPress.

ParticipantWhat theme are you using? What are the links in your main nav at this time? Or, this might just be what you need http://www.nathanrice.net/blog/creating-a-blog-page-with-paging/ – with a reminder to delete spaces between < and ? and php ergo should be ` when you copy and paste from the tutorial

MemberEhi @rbbp22, thank you so much for your work on this.
Well, I’ve tried your solution, but the only thing I get is view the avatar changed after the cropping process (on the registration).
When my user is going to load his profile after the login, the avatar will not displayed (there’ll be the default one).
Seems something wrong in the ‘save’ process.
