Theme: Frisco for BuddyPress 1.5.04Has anyone already attempted to install Buddypress with Cyberchimp’s iFeature theme? If so, how can it be done?
Or if noone has done it yet, anyone know how to go about doing it?
Cyberchimp forums don’t help much, you need to pay for professional assistance on this one, I saw one person asked this same question over there but was told to get help from Buddypress forums and not from Cyberchimp’s forums…

Hey..I’ve installed BP on my existing theme and did the template file transfer. So I’m at the point where I need to do the html alignment fixing since BP didnt align correctly with my existing theme.
I have background in HTML so I figured it wouldn’t be much trouble but I’m really at a loss here. I see the html structure of my original page.php but I’m running into trouble doing the following:
“You will need to change the HTML structure in the BuddyPress templates that you copied into your theme to match the structure in your page.php or index.php file.”
I’m not exactly sure what I’m changing in the BuddyPress templates to be honest. I’ve looked at the two different options it gives but I’m having troubling doing them with my particular theme.
Can anyone reference some more material on this than the provided “fixing alignment” instructions. Maybe there’s some examples somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Dear everyone,
We’re setting up a BuddyPress site for our university. At our university, we have a student email domain: “studentusername@myuniversity.com”
Therefore, to make sure that only students of my university can sign up for an account at our site, I want to require users to enter ONLY those student e-mail addresses (so no Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail) when they first sign up and activate their account.
Once they have activated their accounts, they of course feel free to add any other e-mails to their profiles.
We are very grateful if anyone can show us how to do do this?

Topic: /activity is missing?
I am running WordPress in LAMP with buddypress installed. Whenever I try to click a link to goto the activity page it is missing – isn’t buddypress meant to create that?
So here is what I’m trying to do
I have created a drop down menu that should hold an rss feed that is already parsed and ready for display.
I’m pulling this rss feed from the sitewide activity of buddypress and I want to make sure I only grab about 10 items to display and maybe have a link at the bottom (which I can do my self) to go to the full feed.
What I need help doing is parsing that rss feed and then displaying it in that menu when the user hovers over it.
Can anyone help me do that?

Hello all the good people, I have trouble uploading avatars. I am using BP 1.5.5 and WP 3.3.1, with default buddypress theme with no extra plugins. My site URL is http://pidia.org
I can reach to a stage where we are allowed to browse-upload-crop the image, but after cropping image doesn’t appear as a profile pic, thou it says “Your new avatar was uploaded successfully!”
However gravatars are showing perfectly.
There are folders within wp-content/uploads/avatars/(folder numbers 2,3,4..) but there are no images in those folders.I did a phpinfo check and found that GD Library is installed http://pidia.org/testgd.php and http://pidia.org/test.php
I have also tried setting my folder permission to 755 and 777 but it didn’t help.
I can also post media in my posts or pages. and they appear in wp-content/blogs.dir/(blog-id)/files/(other folders)
My .htacess file is updated for multisite and it looks like this.RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index.php$ - [L] # uploaded files RewriteRule ^files/(.+) wp-includes/ms-files.php?file=$1 [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^ - [L] RewriteRule . index.php [L]Is there any line I should try adding in .htacess (to enable GD library for WP/BP)
