I’d really like the ability to allow some shortcode in the group forum posts. I know there’s a plugin that does this with standalone bbPress, but is there a way to get this done with the group forums that come with BuddyPress?
I’ve gone though the language files, the ajax.php, all of the .css and .js files just to look for the member page header menu.
I’m looking to edit the positions of certain menu items as well as change the names. Like I want to add Profile to the beginning of the menu, before Activity. (Not show the profile page first, just have the word “Profile” listed before “Activity” in the menu.)
Also looking to change the name of Members to Players. I’ve gone through every plugin and language files, I’ve even edited the bp-custom.php to change the name Member to Profile. Nothing works.
Is there default location, in the BuddyPress plugin directory. where I can find this info?
I had the site working ok, with users signing up to it via BuddyPress.
However, as soon as I mad the site MultiSite, it still has the BuddyPress registration form, but the users aren’t being added to the main site as members, just the network membership.
Users can still log in and join groups, etc but I’m unable to change their role within the admin.
It also means that the main site isn’t showing up in the list of sites in the admin menu.
Topic: ‘View’ page is blank
I’ve created a BuddyPress version of the Listings theme from WooThemes using the BuddyPress Template Pack, and everything seems to be working ok, except that when I click on the ‘View’ link for a user’s activity, it comes up blank.

From reading a bit through some help other people have gotten, it would appear that what I’m about to ask for isn’t terribly difficult for some generous helpers here. I’d be happy to pay for the help, or be very grateful if it was donated.

Create two files, header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php, add some code and upload to your theme folder in server and you’re done.
– Con: your BP page titles will be within content area and not how it appears per product page.
– Pro: When BP is upgraded, no worries about upgrading the two files. Only need to check files when your WP theme is upgraded.Thanks in advance for any help!

I installed Buddypress 1.5x and till now its Not able to get me to work…
There is No New Registeration enable page for me as describe on here… i can;t enable my registration page and it does not fit into my theme at all after i installed BP tempate package plugin.
I wonder anyone here facing similar issue as me…. please help…

i run a wordpress site and i have over 10,000 users already, i needed to extend user experience so i decided to go social and allow my 10,000 users to connect with themselves…buddypress was just what the doctor ordered. to enable me sync my 10,000 users from my wordpress site to my buddypress site i purchased a plugin from http://premium.wpmudev.org/ and of course i think it worked cos as soon as i checked my buddypress members i saw 10,000 there…but the problem is they are not activated. How to i get the users from my wordpress site whoes accounts have been duplicated on the buddypress Database to login and extend their profile. I Just see the numbers but the users arent active.
What do i do Please.
