I’m having an unusual problem with favorites. Nothing displays at /username/activity/favorites/, despite a user having made several favorites. I get the message: “Sorry, there was no activity found. Please try a different filter.”
I don’t have any JS issues, users can click favorite and unfavorite without a problem. The favorite count updates. All other menu items work, except the one where it should list a user’s favorites. I tried enabling the default BP theme and still have the issue, so I suspected it may be a plugin. I deactivated all plugins except BuddyPress itself. The problem persists.
There’s nothing in my error log. I checked my tables, none needed to be repaired. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

i’m having trouble getting these forums to work. this is the first time ive used buddypress, so i not sure what im doing.
whenever i click “forums” in my nav menu now it just takes me back to the home page, and not the forums page

WordPress 3.3 has just been tagged, and you should be seeing the Upgrade prompt in your Dashboards very soon.
Please note that there are some small issues between BuddyPress 1.5.1 and WP 3.3:
- – If you are using the WP admin bar (BP_USE_WP_ADMIN_BAR), you may notice that BP 1.5.1 + WP 3.3 results in some repeated items and some imperfect styling.
- – On the Dashboard, you may experience some strange padding in the left-hand margin.
These issues are not serious – your installation will continue to run fine, despite the cosmetic mismatches – but you may want to consider waiting to upgrade your production environments to WP 3.3 until a BP 1.5.2 maintenance release is available. BP 1.5.2 should be out within the next day or so, featuring full compatibility with WP 3.3. Thanks for your patience!
Topic: Installation Trouble
I am running into some installation trouble. I get to the end of the Buddypress installation wizard and click the finish button and the screen goes blank. If I go back to the root Url I can see that the theme and buddypress is installed by I can’t get to the dashboard. Any thoughts
I tried posting this about a half hour ago and kept getting an error message here, and my post has no subject body. That is why I am posting this again.
I know how to create a template file for a category in WordPress (create a category, use the slug name to name the file ‘category-slugname.php’, create a link in the menu to that category).
Followed the same process once I installed BuddyPress, and uploaded my file to the theme folder I am using (bp theme ‘FakeName’).

but wait, I would like to point another thing on this webpage itself. Why every topic_post_time_since carries “ago” twice.
I know buddypress is a great open source software and people like me can contribute towards its development. I have myself reported problems from time to time – https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3758
I just wanted to get my point across and I am glad people are listening. Also Buddypress.org is probably the largest or one of largest sites running buddypress. Performance and usability issues at this website sends a negative signal.
Topic: Managing groups’ membership
I’ve to manage a community of young children. I disabled the ability for them (“subscribers”) to create a group in BuddyPress Settings.
When a child wants to belong to a group, he/she posts a mention to “@admin” asking to become a member of Group X, right.Problem is: How can I, as the administrator from within the Dashboard, make the child a member of the requested group?
