Hi, I am new in Buddypress. I just tested it on my local computer since yesterday. Now still try to figure it out how does it work. I noticed that, when user create a blog post, the post has to be approved by the admin before it goes public. And the user also cannot approve or edit his/her post’s comment. Everything seem have to go through admin.
Is there any way to make the user manage the post/comment by their own?
Hello! I want to put wp profiles in buddypress profiles. I made this, but the edition of the profile was not wp’s edition. I want to put wp profiles for public profiles, own profiles and edition profiles for the user. Can you help me to do this?

I am trying to install buddypress via my wordpress, I get to the point where it says that it is ‘unpacking the package’ and then it just stays like this for over and hour. I have tried many times to install it and the same thing keeps happening. Any help would be very much appreciated.

, but one thing: if we don’t have sufficient permissions to access to the New Post Page and the Comments Moderation Page, would be better if we don’t see those links in the toolbar?

Could anyone let me know how to remove the Public Log of Points from a user’s profile. I.e. I don’t want my users to see the log of their points…
I would ideally like to show a picture or some custom text in that area (instead of the tables with all the points etc)

I have a high authority website, usually get’s indexed by google in a couple of minutes.
None of the buddypress pages are getting indexed, even ones that are a year old haven’t even seen the light of day on Google.
Buddypress topics on these forums are getting indexed.. Is there some type of filter I can turn off on my buddypress install? Having extra forum topic content in the search engines is one of the primary reasons you’d want to install a forum in the first place it seems like.
Topic: Activation email problem…
I have BuddyPress 1.2.8 installed and am having a hard time getting the user activation emails to send. I have tried installing the “Configure SMTP” plugin and can get it to work temporarily, but then I run into another problem. Our mail is run through google apps but there are daily sending limits on google apps/gmail, so the emails stop sending part way through the day.
Is there a way for me to bypass our google apps and just have the notifications send directly from our website using SMTP? (PHPmail doesn’t seem to work.)
Or if that won’t work, is there anything else I can do to get this to work without using our google apps account?

I’m having an unusual problem with favorites. Nothing displays at /username/activity/favorites/, despite a user having made several favorites. I get the message: “Sorry, there was no activity found. Please try a different filter.”
I don’t have any JS issues, users can click favorite and unfavorite without a problem. The favorite count updates. All other menu items work, except the one where it should list a user’s favorites. I tried enabling the default BP theme and still have the issue, so I suspected it may be a plugin. I deactivated all plugins except BuddyPress itself. The problem persists.
There’s nothing in my error log. I checked my tables, none needed to be repaired. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?
