Well I am trying to build an arcade for buddypress
Anyways With these templates I am not really sure where to find the top tab section, like done in the friends or groups area

Anyone can point me in the right direction it would be great
And here is a thread suggesting there should be a way to report inappropriate content, which could be good functionality to combine in one plugin along with Favorites functionality, as they are both forms of the same thing, tagging items: “Report This” feature
Here, just for reference, is a more active discussion on the same idea: “My Favorites” Plugin, but I think egerrits’ description, in the first post of this thread, nails it more clearly.
You could try upgrading your site to MU but, personally, I would simply wait for the WP version of BuddyPress to arrive.
My guesstimate is that Andy will aim to coincide with the release of WP 2.8, currently scheduled for the beginning of April put will probably get pushed back to the middle of the month. He has said that the non-MU version of BP is almost ready to roll but I guess he wants to see how the release of the MU version goes first and, obviously, he isn’t going to release for 2.7 with 2.8 so close.

Its an online art installation.
1) Think of a question, and type it in.
2) Pick up to three wooden boxes from the gallery floor.
3) The photo of the ordinary object inside represents the answer to your question.
4) Save your sandbox results and share them.
And soon the Results will go to my Buddypress profiles, not the old Vanilla ones.
(Buddypress is what inspired me to return to WordPress, after deserting to Vanilla.)
I’m even learning to code a little!
Thanks BP,
Amber
I would need a “report this USER” plugin that allows other members to report an individual user to the admin…
No, it makes no sense to report the user, the specific item (whether it be a photo, wire comment, blog post, whatever) should be tagged so that moderators know exactly what the problem is and can decide whether action against the user is necessary.
Perhaps this could be combined with the Facebook/FriendFeed-style “Like” tag that egerrits has suggested in his Favourites Plugin? thread, and that betoverli has suggested in his “My Favorites” Plugin thread.
We could have small tiny links under each item, like Facebook, but saying:
like – comment – report
@nicolagreco
Your Subscribe plugin sounds very useful if you want to track a particular blog’s activity, but it does not match betoverli’s request for a way to mark something as “liked” or to have that item then appear in the Favorites section of that user’s profile.
Betoverli does not want to receive alerts about new material, he wants a way to alert other people to items (posts, comments, photos etc) within the site that he has already seen and marked as a favorite.
Egerrit’s thread explains the idea more clearly and, again, your Subscribe plugin does not match the stated need. It would, though, be great to see a plugin that did.
If i understand it can’t be done.. => https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/438
If you’re using RC1 that’s wrong
From: 'wp-content/mu-plugins/buddypress-theme/member-themes/buddypress-member/'
To: 'wp-content/member-themes/buddypress-member/
you’ve to copy bp-themes in /wp-content/bp-themes
Yeah, I know what you mean… and it seems just so pushy to *bump* your own post!
Anyhoo, the other thread was here:
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=1499
vgfan, I did the theme myself, not much to it to be honest
Built it off the default themes in buddy press
For the main admin blog, all the links (recent blog posts, etc) point to the root directory and not the /blog/ directory.
This seems like legacy code from a standalone wordpress install but does not make sense for buddypress. Any way around this?
Thanks
So, you mean something similar to the new Facebook “like” and “comment” features, borrowed from FriendFeed?
I agree that this would encourage more activity within the site.
As a first step towards this sort of interaction, however, I would like to see a way to become a “fan” (not friend) of a particular blogger within the site i.e. indicate your liking for a person’s entire output, rather than just individual items.
The Fans concept is discussed here: https://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=1573
the homepage of the site is http://wikiroma.it (the home.php) file, and the buddypress MU community is http://wikiroma.it/index.php
it worked fine until using MU 2.65, the 2 files are both in the root and i’ve setted htaccess giving priority to home.php and then to index.php.
But now http://wikiroma.it/index.php reloads the home.php file.
If i change the index.php (the index of MU) with an empty index.php it works fine and does not redirects to home.php, so i think the htaccess works ok.
When creating a drop down select box for a new profile field, you can choose on option to be the default but, after saving, BuddyPress forgets the default, that option is not selected as default during signup and, when you edit the field, no option is selected as default.
For example:
A new profile field is added: Counties of Ireland. 32 options, Dublin selected as the default.
During test signup, the drop down is set to
i.e. no county set as default.
Editing the field shows no option selected as default.
When you say it works, does it create a new member and use all buddypress features like blogs etc?
I have followed the instructions – sort of.
Instructions:
Move the member theme:
From: ‘wp-content/mu-plugins/buddypress-theme/member-themes/buddypress-member/’
To: ‘wp-content/member-themes/buddypress-member/
Directory /buddypress-member/ is empty so cannot move.
In browser, I get:
Warning: main(bp-core/bp-core-catchuri.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/sites/coastalnet.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core.php on line 16

Hello there,
I m new on this community and i would like to know what’s the best solution to integrate ads on my BP community.I mean to put ads on every user blogs.
Pretty much waiting on WPMU 2.7.1. Once that is out, I’ll be changing BuddyPress to work in /wp-content/plugins and not mu-plugins. It’s a simple switch and is already tested.
You will however need to use 2.7.1 of WPMU if you want to use 1.0 of BuddyPress.
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else had experimented with this yet:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/rpx/
It works on BuddyPress, when activated on the main blog. It’s really just a matter of better integration so it sits alongside the default login/register method.
The last official update we had was February 11, 2009, on the blog. Can anyone provide some feedback as to when this will go to version 1.0 final? I’m trying to hold off my site migration to buddypress until then. Trying to avoid a big change, then updates right after that. I know Andy was waiting on some updates to WPMU as well. Can anyone update us on the latest and what/when to expect a release?
Yes, I’m running BuddyPress at the University of Lincoln and have blogged about it here: http://joss.blogs.lincoln.ac.uk/2009/02/17/buddypress-a-universitys-social-network/
