Hi everyone!

I have a custom field in the registration page asking the new user to give us his/her ideas of what’s on their mind about a personal project so we can help him/her make it possible.

The thing is that I need that custom field to be part of the notification email that the admins recieves whenever somone registers.

I tried to follow the instructions given here:

But I’m not sure whre to put this code. In the functions.php? Is that code right?

Hi,

I am really struggling with trying to hide my admins from my site. I searched this site and tried every code available with no success. Below is the last code I tried with no success.

Any ideas what I am doing incorrectly? This code is inserted in my child themes fuction.php correct?

I am racking my brain on this one!

Hello I have a problem that I need help with. When someone goes to upload videos, they can select multiple categories. I don’t want this because what happens is that people will select all categories just so their video shows up on the home page multiple times under the different genere’s. I tried to download some wp plugin called ONE CATEGORY but it had no effect.

Can someone help me fix it so that they can ONLY select one category for their video. Even if it’s custom programming, I’ll page. Site is clichetv.tv but you can’t see the upload video page unless your registered but easy enough problem to understand.

I have two issues with the members registration.

1. I would like to hide the username on the registration form. I would like the user to register with his email, lastname, firstname. I created a firstname field and I use the name field as the lastname.
But I can’t remove the username. I understand that this field is mandatory and very useful for wordpress so it can’t be removed but can I hide it? or fill it with a random value?
I tried to put the email address as the username but after it is used in the URL of the profile and I don’t want the member email to be displayed.
For me the better solution would be to fill the username with a random value and replace it with the user_id once the user is created but I don’t know how I can do this.

2. On Buddypress if I understand well, it is the display name which is displayed everywhere. How can I insert in the display name field the name + first name I ask in the regsitration form?

I am using the Invention theme by Jozoor.
I have been trying to create a BuddyPress forum for a product we are about to launch, and we need this fixed quite soon, my problem is quite simple, on EVERY page associated with buddyPress, even those it creates itself like Groups, is blank, I cannot do anything with BuddyPress as is.

I used BuddyPress many months ago, about 5 probably and it was so easy to use, can’t remember what theme I was using back then, but I was surprised that nothing at all shows up.

Has anyone else had this problem or know a fix?

How and for what does BuddyPress us cookies for.

One of my corporate clients ran IBM Security AppScan against a WordPress install with BuddyPress and it is returning low-risk security warning for Client-Side (JavaScript) Cookie References.

Specifically, it cited this file:
buddypress/bp-core/js/jquery-cookie.min.js/

Is this used for login functionality or something else as well? The security guy wants it removed, but is there a safe way to remove it, and how much is going to break if we do?
