ParticipantYou need to set the permissions to something everyone has, e.g. “read”
If you want to hardcode the website, you need to fork the source code and create your own app. You will need to add ActionbarSherlock as a library.

ParticipantHave you upgraded your theme to the latest version: http://www.buddyboss.com/buddyboss-theme-updated-to-2-1-7-compatible-with-buddypress-1-7/ ?
Looking at it with internet explorer developer tools I can see that the ‘default.css’ is adding a `margin-top;-28px:` to the `body` which is causing the cut-off.
Try using the developer tools in Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer, or use Firebug with Firefox, or Opera’s Dragonfly to see for yourself and test any edits if the theme upgrade hasn’t fixed it.

ParticipantHello, same problem here.
How to fix?Error on line 95:
“Warning: sprintf() [function.sprintf]: Too few arguments in /home/ninstitu/public_html/trevinhodasorte.com.br/comunidade/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity/bp-activity-notifications.php on line 95”The action itself works, but why the error appears?
Why the error?
Remove the notification is not enough, everyone needs to do, much work. It is no longer so easy to fix?
See the full archive here: http://pastebin.com/R4P5DGbgThankful!

ParticipantI wouldn’t know where to start with it. I’m only learning PHP and WordPress / buddypress.
I was considering trying to theme the dashboard to look like the front end to help with consistency. What are your thoughts?

ParticipantI tried using an admin account everything worked fine, then I tried on a normal account but found no Remote Access settings. I was wondering is this supposed to work only for admins or am I missing something?

can you help me in putting my web address permenantly into app?April 12, 2013 at 7:41 am #161399In reply to: Can Not Create Goups

ParticipantYou both could be affected by this: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4834
If the call to the_title() occurs outside the loop in your theme, BuddyPress fails to display the “Add New” button.
In this case you have to fix your theme.
Quick solution could be to create a custom template page for buddypress and relocate the call to the_title() inside the loop.

Participant@alex-74 Confirming the unusual redirection to home page. Please delete dummy user account in your installation.
What have you tried so far to troubleshoot this issue? Changing to BP Default theme to check if issue is corrected? Deactivating other BuddyPress plugins to check for plugin conflicts? If you want to deactivate plugins by batches, I would deactivate the chat plugin and those plugins which have not been updated for BP 1.6-1.7, then check if you could go to a group’s single page. If it’s still not working, deactivate another batch of plugins.

include( getcwd() . ‘/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-blogs/bp-blogs-template.php’ );
April 11, 2013 at 7:04 pm #161333In reply to: [Resolved] Remove theme sidebar
Famous
ParticipantThat if statement includes a sidebar if I am a BP user, but for everyone else it won’t show the sidebar. I kinda need the reverse; if is an BP user then do not show. And would I place that code where?
childTheme/buddypress/members/single/home.php
Because that is the only page I do not want the sidebar. By the way what would be my best procedure because I don’t really like messing with core files?
Thanks

Participant@ryanhellyer Because I make use of BuddyPress I installed “Spam Destroyer version 1.4.3 beta” plugin.
The immediate consequence was that any attempt to post or create a new topic ended in “ERROR: Your reply cannot be empty.”
I had to disable it for now.
I found no setting for this plugin and I agree to help you test it. Be aware I’m not a developer, just a WP regular user.
How do we proceed?April 11, 2013 at 6:26 pm #161327In reply to: Hide Admin Bar Buddypress v. 1.6.1
