ParticipantI did get things to work. I had to manually fix the code. I could not wait for anyone at BuddyPress since they do not seem to be here helping out. I would provide you with the fix, yet I rewrote a bunch of the code since there were many things that I found that needed to be fixed to make our site to work.

Why can not I here pasting the css styles?January 16, 2013 at 9:13 pm #150868In reply to: Cannot Edit, Delete, Open or Sticky Forum Topics

ParticipantThis is not a bump, but additional information.
So It looks like in addition to my single forum topic admin links all 404-ing, the post counter (which is supposed to show the number of posts for each topic) is always at zero, no matter how many posts there are in a topic (hmm, peculiar).
I checked out the wp_bb_topics table in my database and certainly those numbers are there (number of posts, of various numbers – obviously there should always be 1 if there is a topic).
So what gives, why isn’t my buddypress set up reading from the topic table in the database, I am guessing this might be the reason why it goes to edit these topics, but they can’t find them (even though they are there)?

ParticipantHi,
Did you manage to make it work?
I’m facing the same problem. User signs up, sees the ‘Sign Up Complete!’ screen, but no email is sent.
The only plugin I’m using is ‘BuddyPress’

ParticipantHi…has removed the tabs and still delivers the results.
However still has links to ‘all members’ and ‘my friends’ on the left of the screen (lonks via the words themselves in the margin) any ideas? Have a feeling its to do with this:
- <a href="”><?php printf( __( 'All Members %s’, ‘buddypress’ ), bp_get_total_member_count() ); ?>
- <a href="”><?php printf( __( 'My Friends %s’, ‘buddypress’ ), bp_get_total_friend_count( bp_loggedin_user_id() ) ); ?>
Thanks…Nyla

ModeratorI would not use the current activity post form. I would create a group extension and have a private submit form for admins only.

ParticipantThanks for adding that Chris. Personally I’d never go with shared hosting, but maybe there are exceptions to the rule. If you ever want to share your experiences in more details I’d love to cover it on BP-Tricks!

@ChrisClayton
Participant@tarkham for the fatal errors being posted, If you download trunk, you need to rename the directory to ‘buddypress’ as it defaults to ‘trunk’ and BP_PLUGIN_DIR is hardcoded to ‘/buddypress’.

ParticipantDoes it have anything to do with my Artisteer Theme or maybe a plugin I have installed?
Sorry to bother you guys and again forgive me as I’m just an end user with a little knowledge trying to get the social part of my site functioning properly.
If anyone can give me some advice or has time to take a look at it for me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance…

ParticipantWhat strikes me as odd is that if it has something to do with the activity stream files why am I still able to “Load More” activity using the button at the button of the page? At this point I dunno what’s wrong.
