ParticipantThanks for the advice on switching new user roles, but there’s no place to do that in the settings->General
See Screenshot here:
http://beijingcommunityforum.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/settings.png
From what I can tell, it should appear before ‘Timezone’
Also, I added the BuddyBlog plugin, but it’s not very robust. There’s no TinyMCE, or anything to format text, and the tags and categories for the post don’t display correctly. In principle, BuddyBlog does what I want, but in reality, I need more functionality from it.
Ideally, I would have the functionality of BuddyBlog, with the full feature set from TinyMCE.
I may be asking too much?

I have followed the steps and also tried doing it from start two times after your post. Still my site cant store the new thread in my group forum it seem. What can it be?
URL to new thread with fatal error message:
http://sskwebben.se/medlem/grupper/sskwebben-utvecklingsgrupp/forum/topic/test/#post-3805Can it be the slug? “grupper” are my slug of “groups”. Could it be that groups are after my own “medlem”?
My sitewide forum works fine…..

ParticipantHave either of you actually directed these questions/issues to the appropriate places?
https://github.com/Courseware/buddypress-courseware/issues
or the WP forum for the plugin.
I would also be seeking to get an understanding of whether this plugin is to be supported going forward as there seems to be some differings views I’ve seen and knowing one of the authors they are extremely busy with other projects.
Be very careful about building sites based on third party plugins, you have to have a fair idea they will be supported or learn the necessary skills to keep them running.

ParticipantThanks. I did all that, but the forum never shows up in the group. The page exists, but it isn’t linked to the group at all. Any ideas?
The link you sent says: You’ll find that there is still no “Forum” in the Group’s main navigation links. You will need to go to Group’s “Admin” link in main navigation. Click on “Forum” link in Group’s sub-navigation and check again “Yes, I want this group to have a forum.” (This bug has been corrected in bbPress 2.3 beta 2 which is available for download.)
Is downloading the beta a good idea? this thing is already super buggy…

Participant@shahzaib147 your dp looks ugly to me
What!
Just managed to misread your requirement. Not sure what ‘bubble’ refers to but if you mean the profile links on adminbar on the extreme right that isn’t going to be so easy to do and adding a new link ? Where? on it’s own? that would be WP function really using the add_node function for the WP adminbar
To move the profile links from right to left:
#wp-admin-bar-top-secondary.ab-top-secondary {float: left;}
To add links you need to check the WP codex or search this forum as there is a current topic in a similar vein – ading links to adminbar.

ParticipantSorry for non-english examples. Basically i dont have english network yet ^^
Should i create a community in http://theme.firmasite.com/ ? Its a network itself so i can install buddypress and open registration etc. I couldnt decide on this actually but i generally hate registering to lots of site for able to get support. If i dont change my mind, i am thinking to give support on wordpress.org’s forums because everyone have account in there. What do you guys think about registering a site for getting support?
March 15, 2013 at 7:00 pm #156486Unsal Korkmaz
Participantif you mean WordPress Multisite with “network environment”; My all sites are built on multisite. For example main site is: http://yerleske.net/ and http://unsalkorkmaz.com/ is one of sub-domain.
If you mean BuddPress examples;
My buddypress profiles:
http://yerleske.net/uyeler/unsalkorkmaz/

Fixed.
Thanks.
March 14, 2013 at 9:09 pm #156414In reply to: [Resolved] Warning on my Profile page
Hugo Ashmore
ParticipantThis is a plugin issue not a BP one.
A quick google found this thread on WP forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/getting-new-warning-please-help-fast-urgent
Always do a general search first and also do basic tests such as disabling third party plugins and/ or reverting to bp-default theme to establish for yourself where an issue lies.

ParticipantPlease don’t post this question again we have had to close three threads one being three years old. In tech forums chose the most appropriate sub forum, post once then if no responses after a 24 hour period you may bump the post to prompt attention.

Participant@tvanes no plugin that does what you need afaik. Best place to ask would be at the bbPress.org forums https://bbpress.org/forums/

ParticipantI did all the basic’s but it still did not work , so I uninstalled both and installed bbPress 2.3b2 and buddypress 1.7b2 and it seems to be working now.
