Agree, I was just looking to see if anyone was going to reply. Having the same issue that with the Latest Activities widget, nothing shows up although the site has activity. Everything is updated.
On another note, on the activity page, it was showing some HTML in the feed… but wasn’t in the actual bbpress forum post.
Using WP 6.2.2, bbPress 2.6.9, and BuddyPress 11.2.0
I’ve had the Latest Activities widget added to the right sidebar for some time, but it never shows anything. This is a site still in progress, but I had a friend login and post some forum topics, such, but still nothing ever shows.
What should I see there?
BBPress is a WordPress plugin that allows you to add a forum or discussion board to your WordPress website. While it doesn’t come with a built-in private messaging feature, there are a few ways you can add this functionality to your forum:
Use a plugin: There are several plugins available that allow you to add private messaging to BBPress. One popular option is the “Private Messages For BBPress” plugin, which adds a private messaging system to your forum. You can also check out other plugins that are available in the WordPress repository.
Use a third-party service: Another option is to integrate a third-party service that offers private messaging. For example, you could use a service like BuddyPress, which offers a range of social networking features, including private messaging. You can integrate BuddyPress with BBPress to add private messaging to your forum.
Custom development: If you have the technical skills or can hire a developer, you could also develop a custom solution to add private messaging to your forum. This would involve creating a plugin or customizing the BBPress code to add the functionality you need.
Whichever method you choose, it’s important to consider the security and privacy implications of adding private messaging to your forum. Make sure to implement appropriate security measures to protect user data and prevent spam or abuse.
@katehobson, after several years of using Elementor, I’ve found that they tend to have an elitist attitude towards any theme or plugin that conflicts with theirs and always expect the third party to conform to their plugin as opposed to vice versa. Their suggestion to me was to contact Buddypress for support instead since they viewed it as a Buddypress problem and not an Elementor problem. I knew that was likely going to be their response and now I’m kicking myself for wasting over 24 hours waiting on them to forward my ticket to their Tier 2 team for the Tier 2 team only to tell me that they weren’t going to help me. I should have just contacted Buddypress immediately with my problem – not that BP is fast to respond at all. Case in point, I submitted a ticket to the BP support forum 6 months ago that still hasn’t been replied to. If this next ticket doesn’t get resolution much faster, I may be searching for an alternative to BP since this is hurting my website and is bad for business. I need something that works more consistently with better customer service. SMH… This may be one of those cases where you get what you pay for.
BP uses the WP login register etc functionality, you could ask on the WP forum
Yep when groups are created bbpress is installed you can create a forum for the group.
Hi Mark, I have the some problem, How do you solve this problem with Astra Pro?
Here is my question in the forum https://buddypress.org/support/topic/conflicts-buddypress-and-astra-pro-theme/ but anyone answer.
I have installed Woocommerce + Buddypress + bbpress but I have a problem with the plugin Buddypress, My goal is the following:
The student has a header menu and one of them is “My account”, when the user clicks, the Buddypress menu should appear (with his photo, forum, profile field, messages field, etc.) but no information appears.
For example in:
http://www.example.com/miembros/admin/profile gives page error.
http://www.example.com/mienbros/admin/forums gives page error.
I dont have idea how get the user profile.
I’ve searched high and low for an answer to this.
I’m hoping it’s a setting that I have missed. The forums seem to have different timestamps with different time zones. The actual post shows the correct Pacific/Los Angeles time, but under Newest Topics, it looks like GMT. How do I show the correct time of a post across the Buddy Press platform? The wrong time makes people think the notifications are wrong.
Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
While I’m able to edit users from the front end, this is limited to the information on their BP profiles. Would it be possible to add/change a link (possibly in the toolbar) that would also enable me to edit them through the dashboard?
Asking because I frequently need to make changes (i.e. adding them to different forum groups) that fall outside BP profile editing capabilities. Currently, I have to go to the dashboard and look them up manually… it would be so much more convenient if there was a link I could just click from their profile page for direct access.
I hope this is clear. If not, please let me know, and I’ll try to word it differently.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Sorry wrong forum support……..Please disregard and delete this post.
Hi everyone,
I have over 25000+ users on my site from 22 years ago when we had an active community. Now our site is only resource for information and people can see topics and replies but adding anything new is turned off.
My question is how to remove all users who have not posted, commented, created a topic or a reply in bulk?
Or at least where do all the forum data stored?
Thank you for your help and guidance.
Diana
New plugin just released may help: https://wordpress.org/plugins/activity-feed-anywhere/. It’s VERY new, so please leave any feedback/bug reports in the support forums.

Pretty much as the subject head line says.
I found a bunch of very old suggestions and solutions on this forum / internet but most are dead and no plugins are working.
is there a way in 2023 to disable the moderation to that the post are instantly published without any admin intervention because images or links (or both) as added to thread post in BBpress?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards

Hi kp,
yes I’m with ya on keeping extra plugins to a minimum.
Code published here…
https://easywebdesigntutorials.com/hide-buddypress-pages-and-bbpress-forums-from-not-logged-in-users/
…with minor modification (to remove bbpress check) seems to achieve what you want, as per below:
function ps_guest_redirect() {
global $bp;
if ( bp_is_user() ) {
if(!is_user_logged_in() and !bp_is_register_page() and !bp_is_activation_page()) {
wp_redirect('https://google.com');
exit;
}
}
}
add_filter( 'get_header','ps_guest_redirect',1);
Hello,
I am having issues with posting on the global activity feed and group activity feed. I am in the testing phase and when I try to post something in either of above feed, the post button stays loading and it never posts. Funny thing is that when i post something through profile feed or in forums, it goes smoothly.
I also have this same issue with commenting on a post that was done through profile feed or sharing a post. If it helps, i am using Youzify for styling.
Have there been any developments on this topic in the last 4+ years?
Has anyone produced a plugin that replaces or updates the one mentioned above?
A member of my writing group has asked for all her data and I was shocked and disappointed to discover the WP Export/Erase Personal Data doesn’t cover BuddyPress forum posts. There are two years of posts I’m going to have to search manually if I can’t find a plugin to do the job for me.
Hoping for a positive response (fearing the opposite).
John
Hi!
@adhamahmed: A better place to ask about this is: https://bbpress.org/forums/
@mpcd108: interesting, we don’t include such a view, what would be the benefit of it? Being able to see the awaiting requests to be able to withdraw some?
welcome everybody
After greeting
I want to know a problem. When I select a private forum, the word is repeated twice: private: private:
Template support told me not by us
Is there any helper?
Regards
I have the same problem as well. Email notifications come from the forum but not from Groups or Activities Stream.
Does anyone have a solution?
i fixed it:
.users-nav #settings-personal-li { display: none; } //settings tab
#community-personal-li { display: none; } //forums tab

Hello,
I’m using WordPress 6.1.1 running Twenty Twenty-Three theme, BuddyPress Version 11.0.
https://math.cwelms.org/
I’ve seen similar topics to mine here, which is this:
BuddyPress Forum works fine, but I cannot create any BuddyDocs, linked to a BuddyGroup. When I try to create on the frontend, I end up on a page that says, “Archives: Doc, Create a Doc” but when I click on the Create a Doc link, nothing happens.
I can create BuddyDocs on the Dashboard, but can’t connect them to a group.
I created an open ‘beta’ group if you want to try yourself.
when i drop back to the Twenty Twenty theme, I can create docs, which makes me think that the issue is somewhere with the WordPress editor.
When I revert to the Twenty Twentythree theme, the docs I created when using the TwentyTwenty theme are still there and editable.
What do I need to do with the TwentyTwenty-Three theme to create BuddyDocs?

Hi, site is 3 years old, 13,000 members, approx. 1100 active daily, but not a single instance of multiple-user spam-messaging, forum spamming, blog comment spamming, etc.
The site is a (very mild) NSFW dating site, niche interest, so is a prime target for bots, but so far no big issues.
If you want to compare ideas/methods then please provide some form of contact, happy to provide info in private.
oh wow, looking at the amount of replies on this forum i guess it is not likely help is comming. Anyone know where I can get help with a bigger userbase?
