We have a problem where we are designing the website, but we want to ‘hold back’ the site until it live, but this creates and issue with the Registration page.
I’ve seen this:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/registration-link-redirects-to-home-page/But this means we have to sign out… then go through all the code *while signed out*, and site enabled, to design it or do coding.
Is this correct, or is there a way to enable Register page, when logged in??

I’m running WordPress 5.5.3 running Executive Pro theme. Using Genesis 3.3.3.
When a logged out user tries to access the community pages = Activity, Members, Groups, or Forum, it redirects them to the home page. I want it to direct them to the Register page so they know there is a community they can register for.
In Settings > Buddypress > Pages I have the following set:
Register > Register
Activate > ActivateWhen I click on “View” from there, it takes me to the home page (but I am logged in at that point since it’s the backend.)

I am also running BP Registration Options in order to make BUddypress areas private.

Hello, there seems to be a problem with buddypress. Whenever I assign a registration page it just redirects to homepage.
I see others are experiencing the same problem but no one is addressing/ solving it.
Can someone please solve the issue. Seems there is a bug or something.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times
I have cleared cache on both site and browser
I have contacted my hosting and they troubleshoot and said it’s a bug with plugin.
I have even deactivated all plugins except buddypress.Nothing worked. Please help

I installed BuddyPress, first time and I’m a total newbie. I dont know why, but Both pages, registration and activation pages goes to homepage.
I have checked membership box, its settled, uninstalled deleted and installed buddypress again, deleted cache, and the only plugins activated are Updraft and super cache…
I saw a tutorial wich said I had to add a shortcode to .htaccess with my IP, haven’t done that yet, should I? And if it so, should it be on a .htaccess file on a child theme folder?

I am using WP (5.1.1, Buddypress 4.3.3, php 7.0, KLEO newest release)
My registration page (with or without the kleo_register shortcode does not load properly). It says there are too many redirects or it redirects to the home page. It also says it might be because of rejected cookies.It was working properly previously. It might have gone wrong with the latest updates (kleo, buddypress or wp). I did the wp update to 5.1 recently. That was the last update I did.
But I do have a staging site where everything works properly. Same php, same wp, same bp, same kleo running.
So I wonder can it be really something with the cookies?

And when I hit the registration button, it gets into the redirect loop again. Also, I had a registration form with extended options, so users can accept terms an condition, I need their age etc. This extended form does not load either on the live site.
What I have done:
– refresh permalinks
– checked if anyone can register
– turned to basic WP theme
– turned of firewall, caching plugin
– created new reg page
– cleaned browser cache, tried different browsersI am running out of ideas.

I’m using Kleo ThemeHi I’m a new WP & BP user and I want to make it so that not ANYONE can register, but I could send a code or a link to certain people so they can register and make a profile. But anytime I turn off “Anyone can register” it also disables the registration page. Is there a way around this or is there a plugin I can use? Also I made a directory page for the members, but when I’m not logged in and I click on a member profile it redirects me to the home page and I’m unable to see the profile. Is there some settings I can change? The profile visibility is set for everyone…

While I’m logged in as admin, I can see the Sitewide Activity page by clicking on the home page, but anyone who is logged out, gets a “too many redirects” error.
When I change the settings to REGISTER as the home page, logged in members are redirected to the MEMBER page after logging in.
I have tried adding a redirect plugin and that breaks the site. I would really like members to land on the Sitewide Activity feed once they log in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

After I have filled the registration form WP redirects me to the Homepage. In users list (Dashboard) I don’t see new user too.
Steps which I tried to resolve the problem:
1) WP in simple mode, not WPMS
2) Dashboard – Settings – checkbox “Users can register” checked
3) Disabled all plugins and checked BuddyPress registration function
4) Changed theme to another one. (I use OneCommunity theme by default)
5) Installed WP Mail SMTP (tried to send messages via php wp_mail & smtp). Both variants work for WP, also checked to send messages via Contact form 7 etc. BUT not sending any mail from BuddyPress
6) Tried to reinstall BuddyPress plugin, still not working
7) There is no hosting problems too…
8) I don’t see another user accounts in Users dashboard.
9) Switched between old and new BuddyPress templates…
10) Additional information:
– WP version 4.9.8
– BuddyPress 3.1.0

I have a membership site. It’s running Woocommerce, WP 4.9.6 and Buddypress 3.0.0. My BuddyPress status is below.I’m having a problem when someone is choosing a any kind of membership(I only have free and 1 paid at the moment). When they get to the billing screen they can either use Facebook or Google to login and fill in the details.
Once they do that, Buddypress redirects them to their wall. I want them to be able to continue the checkout process. I’ve tried so many things, but can’t override it.

I’m new to BuddyPress but I’m quickly getting to grips with it. I am, however, having an issue with the registration and profile fields.
Registration: it’s simply not doing anything when selecting “complete signup”. It sometimes redirects to the homepage and nothing shows up on the backend.
Profile Fields: I’m getting duplications of the same field group, “Base (Primary)”. I’ve entered some new fields into the first of the duplicates, but nothing shows up on the registration page.
Any support would be hugely appreciated.

I’m having to use an older version of WordPress & BuddyPress (dont ask) Anyway we’re using WordPress 4 and BuddyPress 2.5.5
Local install, default Twenty Twelve theme only plugin activated is BuddyPress
Allow new registrations is selected as
Logged in users may register new sites.as we want logged in users to be able to create sites at mysite.com/blogs/create.The register and activate pages are there and selected.
However, whenever i go to My Sites > Create a New Site link or essentially http://www.mysite.com/wp-signup.php, mysite.com/create or mysite.com/reigster it redirects to the home page, without fail.
If i log out and go to those pages it loads the /create page but i get…

I really have 2 issues
I am new to this plugin and need some help, please!
First Issue
Ok, so when someone successfully completes their registration they receive the following onscreen notice e.g.
You have successfully created your account! To begin using this site you will need to activate your account via the email we have just sent to your address.
I am trying to customise the notice to say e.g.
You have successfully created your account! To begin using this site you will need to activate your account via the email we have just sent to your address. If you do not see your email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder account!
To attempt to make the customisation, in file manager, I follow the path: httpdocs/wp-content/plugind/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legasy/buddypress/members/register.php. I add the additional text in the PHP file but the changes do not show up on the front end. Can anyone please advise me on this?
Second Issue
The issue I am having is the fact that I don’t have access to the register page unless I attempt to create an account. The register page somehow redirects to the home page even though the Buddypress settings are set to register.

I’m having trouble setting up a registration page. I have my buddy press settings configured to have my register page set to http://www.sackvillephotoclub.com/registration, but this keeps redirecting to the homepage. Am I missing something?

since I set the registration page (www.myurl.com/registration) as start page, my main url (www.myurl.com) links to the members page (www.myurl.com/members). I’d like my main url (Logo etc.) to link to the stream (www.myurl.com/stream).Did anyone have the same problem? Or any suggestions to solve this?
Hi, i need help with my buddypress installation. on the registration page after hitting complete sign up site redirects to the home page and basically does nothing. no confirmation email, no new user when i checked the dashboard, nothing.

Using the canvas plugin by woothemes.I’ve tried the following to redirect users to Registration page if not logged in and to the Activity page if logged in.
In WordPress, I set the “Front page:” to Activity (Activity is a WordPress Page that is set to Activity Streams in the BP Page settings tab)
In my theme’s functions.php file, I’ve added:

IN SUMMARY: I would like a user who visits the homepage of my site to see the Registration Page. I would like uses, once they are logged in, or already logged in, to see the Activity Stream as the front page.

Whenever I click on a link to go to the BP register page (separate browser – not logged in at all), I am redirected to the WP-Login page. However, from the WP-Login page, clicking on the register link (bottom left) properly redirects me to the BuddyPress registration form. Any idea why this is causing an extra step and how to solve it?

I’ve searched this extensively and it seems that two other people have had related issues, but when I attempted to implement their code fixes, it either did not work or broke the site entirely.

I am running the latest version of BP and WP with a heavily customized version of the DynamiX Child theme. I have also created a custom register page with a custom register form on one of my pages using a theme template rather than setting one of my pages as the register page in Buddypress.
I have noticed that if I try to visit this registration page when I am logged in, Buddypress recognizes that I am logged in and automatically redirects me back to the homepage. I am fine with Buddypress redirecting users away from the register page if they are already logged in, but I’d like to change where they get redirected to. I cannot seem to find the function that controls this though. Does anybody know how to override this behaviour and change where logged in users get redirected to when trying to view the register page?
