Hi, @erikahrend there’s no plugin now that does that, but if you can manage to code a bit you can use de “BP Labs” plugin mention autocomplete feature disguising it as “tags”. You will not have the feature of pointing specific x1 y1 / x2 y2 square tag position but at least your members will be able to mention “who appears in this pic?” and the mentioned users will be notified… maybe that will suit for a while

@tomelk31 It should rein in BP content to the left to lift up the sidebar. Where did you add the style to `#content .padder` and the styles I mentioned for you to copy from the Twenty Ten modifications? I’m looking at your blacklight/style.css file in server and the styles have not been added at all.

@cleaus there’s `get_template_part(‘content’, ‘page’ ) ;` in your page.php file which means I need the code to content-page.php file as well

I am running WP 3.4.2, BP 1.6 and I am able to both join and leave a group (thus, the buttons are visible and perform as designed).

For group creation In BuddyPress at this time, it’s either Admin or “others” – the users/members – that’s it. So there’s no conflict when only the Admin can create groups if you uncheck “Enable group creation for all users.”

Basically, you will no longer need to install the BP Template Pack plugin to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress as this new feature serves as a fallback for any WP theme which does not have BuddyPress templates in it. The feature is the same way bbPress plugin templates are served up in WP themes.

You need to install/activate BP Template Pack plugin to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress.

It is possible to filter profiles, but you’ll need PHP development skills — It’s not possible directly with ‘out of the box’ BuddyPress

@rcpessoa – that’s not how those links work – they are not a filtering mechanism.

Instead they do a search across the member profiles for any text that has that value.

It gets applied somewhat non-sensically to any profile data, and is a confusing UX element that can be turned off – have a google for how to do that.

Usually in BuddyPress that would be the site activity stream. You can embed that anywhere you want. Would that be a good solution? http://testbp.org/activity/ shows what it by default would show – but a number of plugins also show output there.

I see you mention hours they contributed – this seems more user specific not site specific (which the other things you list do fall into). If it was me I’d try and keep the two separate and maybe show a user table somehow of stats like that or leave it on profiles. That or perhaps what you are meaning would be an output like ‘bob volunteered 4hours today’ rather than a running total. In that case, it would be down to custom development or a plugin that is monitoring those donated hours. But, the hook is there in BuddyPress for it to output.

I just did a quick check and that plugin is only designed to work for the members directory not site wide from what I see. Either that or it’s stopped working on activity, but the notes seem to indicate it’s designed for members directory.

Per user you can set it yourself but I guess you want a solution that forces users to have it displayed one way? If the per user method works though you can under their user settings in the admin.
