Keymaster@wdfee Hi. Make Sticky and Close Topic work for me. I’m not sure what the issue might be. Are you able to try recreating it on http://testbp.org/ if you can? thanks.

Keymaster`Deleting a comment/post in a blog is not reflected in the activity stream`
This is how it is meant to work. It’s a good idea for further consideration for a future enhancement; please make such a ticket on https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/
Regarding activity stream comment and favourite buttons not working. I cannot recreate. Can you on testbp.org? Are they broken for *ALL* activity stream items, or just on this “wrote a new blog post” item? Does it still do it if you post on a new blog post’s activity item?

ParticipantHe asked a tool for wordpress. What does that have to do with WordPress Template Pack? I use the add-on for buddypress to make the theme compatible and it doesn’t work all the way.

Participant@Andrea_r the thing is, if you tried to register a new user and (with it ) register a blog name on the multisite, this plugin is dead! not there at all, it give the user the normal ” you need activate by mail message ” and this time the message never go for user cause of the plugin! got the story?
in meanwhile, I’m really going crazy for this problem, hola

Participantsimilar to jim Morrison’s issue: Some admin links in the group forum topic view don’t work correctly: “make topic sticky” and “close topic” result in a blank page, the ?_wpnonce… still in url. The other two admin links, “edit topic” and “delete topic” work correctly.

ParticipantYeah, that was pretty much where it hit the wall last night
(I did kill my old .htaccess but that didn’t help). Canonical rules and gobbledygook in the DB are my odds on favorite. I’ve got the site back up and running, and I’m checking with the site members as to their preferences about BuddyPress etc. They may just say ‘screw it’ since only about 50 of ’em really used it.August 5, 2011 at 4:01 pm #117800In reply to: Buddypress ,photos, videos, forums, and blogs.

ParticipantJust to be perfectly clear, having multiple blogs is a feature built in to WordPress itself, not BuddyPress.
BP just shows them if they are there.August 5, 2011 at 2:47 pm #117794In reply to: 1.5 beta2 – Activity and member pages redirecting

ParticipantYour ‘activity’ renaming issue: Does that happen when you rename the pages corresponding to *other* components, eg groups or members? How about the weird redirect thing?
No, I can rename other components just fine. I renamed register to joinsite and it worked.
I did the -R flag.
As for ‘how badly screwed up IS this site?’ well… It was WP 1.5 upgraded through to 2.8. Around the 2.5 era it had bbPress integration. At 2.9.2 I moved it to WPMU, THEN upgraded to WP 3.0 MultiSite. For 3.1, I realized I didn’t need multiple sites and undid it to SingleSite. Then I was wrong, redid MultiSite, upgraded to 3.2 and here we are. If your head spun around, don’t worry. It’s not just you!
So right now I’ve rebuilt it from the ground up, currently sans BuddyPress. Frankly, I’m pretty sure the issue is NOT BP, since my localhost site, with the same theme etc, worked just fine.

ParticipantYes me too….I saw a topic about that : https://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/extending-activity-how-to-store-additional-info/
But no idea how to do that…August 5, 2011 at 2:26 pm #117791matiou34

ParticipantERROR: The module “user-moderation/user-moderation.php” could not be activated (User Moderation is not currently compatible with multisite.).
This is not my solution so, as I said above, it;s a multisite
I just wish there was some simple and magic line of code that will erase this nightmare for me
August 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm #117788cupid4
ParticipantI just did many testing after sending godaddy a message and they said it’s not of their side, I installed phpbb on my buddypress host for that matter, and tried to see how it send activation message, and for my amazement, it sent it right the second I clicked register! I tried notification message ( which being sent about 1 hour late as well by buddypress) and in phpbb topic reply notifaction it arrived in moment as well.
so I can really say that the problem is at buddypress side, I appreciate the whole work done on it though
i will try to find some solution, perhaps @enderandrew I will try theme my login now.August 5, 2011 at 1:51 pm #117786In reply to: 1.5 beta2 – Activity and member pages redirecting

Keymaster`I’m going with ‘My install is bollixed’`
Could well be, though it’d be helpful to know what bollixed it, as that might give us a sense as to whether BP could work around the bollixing.
Your ‘activity’ renaming issue: Does that happen when you rename the pages corresponding to *other* components, eg groups or members? How about the weird redirect thing?
When you corrected the permissions thing, did you chmod with the -R flag, to make sure that the changes were made all the way through the buddypress file tree?

ParticipantSince I forgot to test that last night… Same problems exist on the bp-default theme! Okay, now we’re cookin’ with heat.
Disabled my functions.php (renamed .txt) and the problem remains.
Stripped the site down to JUST BuddyPress and the BP Default theme, same problem.
I’m going with ‘My install is bollixed’
