MemberI guess I’m not sure because if I disabled all plugins except Buddypress, then even if a plugin hadnt tidied up correctly, disabling should take that problem/plugin out of the equation right?
I’m reluctant to use a backup because it would have to be from months ago & that would lose a lot of new users that have signed up since then.
I’m going to sign back up with my developers pay program & have them dig a little deeper.
Thanks for all the help anyways everyone.

KeymasterBuddyPress supports forums via the bbPress forum script. It does not offer native SMF import support.
You might be speaking of the BuddyPress SMF Import plugin:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-smf-import/If you haven’t tried it already, give it a shot.

ParticipantHey @philohagen Did you ever figure this out?
It seems like it should be an easy switch, but there’s a lot of dumb things I’ve run into trying to get it working.
I tried @travel-junkie ‘s suggestion via @paulhastings0, but got WSOD every time I did it.

Participant@hnla Okay, thank you. I called myself searching for anything regarding the two buttons and coming up with nothing by way of the search. This is why I posted. I am support for two web hosting forums, I understand very well to search first… Sorry for my search’s failure. Perhaps I made the wrong query…

ParticipantNo you removed the wrong one!
The reason 1.2.5.2 didn’t show the issue was that it didn’t change until 1.2.6. The button is rendered via the do_action now but both still will work thus the duplicates.
There were a few threads on this in the last couple of days so please check the forum posts first in case issues have been covered.

ParticipantAnyone know if this is possible ?
October 27, 2010 at 10:14 pm #96756Raymond
ParticipantBuddyPress 1.2.5.2 had both
``
as well, but didn’t show two add/cancel friend buttons stack on top of each other for each member on the list.
Why would the new version ( 1.2.6 ) do this ? Any ideas ?October 27, 2010 at 9:49 pm #96753teebes
Participant+1… An updated skeleton would be very handy!

ParticipantI think you removed the wrong one. Look at the original file in the bp default theme to compare.

ParticipantI did some snooping around and found some tips for changing the ordering and defaults tabs of groups, but nothing on the default activity tabs.

I found a thread that @modemlooper made a couple months back discussing the issue. I completely forgot that I had posted on the thread.

ParticipantControl the path of the main site in wp-admin/yoursite ->edit

ParticipantThank you…but where do I do this? In my Dashboard? in my FTP area? Can’t seem to find that in either.
You also write, view also in your wp-config…what does that mean?
On my “Register Page” I have a shortcode of [subscriptionform] I must have read that somewhere too. But never seemed to get that up and running.
Both paths that you gave up there goes directly to my Home Page…that is my problem.
October 27, 2010 at 3:27 pm #96710danbpfr
ParticipantI don’t know exactly what you did, but the link to the register path is going to a wrong url
http://exaholics.com/?bp_pc_redir_to=%2Fregister
instead of
http://exaholics.com/register/Control the path of the main site in wp-admin/yoursite ->edit
In the first lines you will see the actual pathView also in your wp-config….
