Hi dears,
Anybody knows how to reorder the activity stream buttons? I added “Buddypress Edit Activity” and “Buddypress Activity privacy” plugins and I want the “Edit” button to be before the “Privacy” drop down list.

I am trying to link Buddypress to the main navigator. I want it only to show if the user is logged in.
This code does almost what i want. but i cant figure how i can get i to work with buddydrive

Thought I’d post this here in case others are looking for the same solution – and in case I’ve done it incorrectly of course!
What I wanted was to hide the “whats-new-form” in a member’s activity area, so that they can’t post from here, YET to keep it available for everyone in the Groups. The reason is i want to keep all comments within Groups only.
So I put this code into my child theme css;
div#item-body[role=main] form#whats-new-form { display: none; }It seems to have done the trick, once the ‘role’ bit was added in.
If this is the wrong way to disable members to post in their personal activity I’d appreciate some input, as I’m new to BuddyPress.

I have been trying to get help with an issue for weeks, but no one has ever tried to assist me with my problem.
The issue is this: Pages enabled with Buddypress (activity, groups, members) will NOT let me post different widgets on different Buddypress pages. Any widget I try to post on a Buddypress page automatically gets added to all of them (activity, groups, and members pages). I believe this has to do with these pages being classified as “single post pages”. Though I may be wrong, but this is the only box I can click (with the Display Widgets plugin) that causes the widget to appear on the Buddypress page. What do I do to remove these Buddypress pages as single post pages and make them just normal pages? Or what can I do in general?
Please. I really need help with this and no one will help me. Even paid support ignores this problem.
How do I go about preventing the site’s page header and footer areas from appearing on the BuddyPress Register page?
I know how to hide the display of the header/footer using CSS, but that solution won’t suffice for my needs. You see, I’m using SSL on my Login and Registration pages. And the images I have in my header and footer are “breaking” the SSL since they’re deemed insecure content. So I’ve decided that I would just prefer to completely remove the header/footer on the Register page only. But how do I do that?
FYI, I created a custom WP page template that removed any reference to header/footer, but I still see the header/footer appear on the Register page.
Also, I noticed in the register.php file that there’s no reference to
get_header( ), so I’m unclear as to why the header is still being displayed when I removed it from the WP page template I’ve associated to the Register page. My site is using BP version 2.0.2.Please help! Thank you!
After much discussion with @henrywright about his Identicon plugin, I’ve decided to release a new free plugin to address some areas that I think could be of benefit.
The general concept is the same, but there are some key differences.
This plugin:- uses the existing BuddyPress avatar directory structure
- conforms to the defined sizes for BuddyPress thumb and full avatars
- doesn’t require filtering on every avatar call
- the end result is more high-rez
- provides a usage option on the Dashboard > Settings > Discussion screen
- supports Bulk Generation and storage of avatars via a click in the Dashboard

I’m using the Wild Community theme (which is a BuddyPress integrated theme) and for some reason my nav bar (which has dropdowns to sub-pages of the site) doesn’t work properly. I hover over the nav bar it displays the sub-page information but when I try to click on it/ access those pages they just disappear and I can’t access them (from the nav bar). I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this.
I’m also having BuddyPress issues where I can’t set up user registration properly. I have the fields setup but something with the pages that I direct them to don’t work.
I also am having issues updating the Theme. WordPress is giving me an error message saying the data is already there and it can’t install. I’ve tried figuring it out and just can’t.

I have a custom post type with custom meta which is submitted via the frontend. Whenever the form is submitted I need to register this in the activity stream. I have had a look around the documentation and using the function
bp_activity_add()looks like the obvious solution but in previous forum posts it has been mentioned to use the following code instead:add_filter ( 'bp_blogs_record_post_post_types', 'activity_publish_custom_post_types' ); function activity_publish_custom_post_types() { $media = array('videos', 'pictures'); return $media; }Can anyone advise which would be the better options and also how to implement the code properly? I am fairly new to both wordpress and buddypress and so do not know whether to add this to the main functions.php file and if so how.

Hello, I want to insert the private message details into another table. I managed to do it by using “bp_after_message_thread_list” hook but the problem here is whenever I refresh the page once again the entry is made into to the table. This is what I need to avoid. How can this be done. Here is my code what I have tried just need to avoid page refresh thing.

My users are reporting that when they click the activation link that the page is coming up not found. When I go to manually activate their account it says that there is a # pending, but there is nothing in the list.
The first issue, the link, is actually happening on two of my websites.
