KeymasterI’m not spending time building CSS/HTML for you, but the templates you need to edit are in the /achievements/templates/ plugin folder. Copy the directory inside the /achievements/templates/ folder into your theme, and edit those files.
The directory template is the ‘index.php’ file in the achievements subfolder above.

Can you help me out with this?
I installed Achievements 2.3 plugin on my site and would like to know how to have a right sidebar at my Achievements Directory page? Currently the page is full-width.
I’d like to place the Achievements Leaderboard, Unlocked, Locked, n score on the right sidebar. What code should I place at my childtheme?
Please help.
Thank you.

@mercime
Participant** index.php code in pastebin.com is not your theme’s index.php file but that of BP Activity Stream’s index.php. I recommend that you re-upload your theme’s files again to server to make sure that all required theme files are online.
Moving on to the template compatibility process, you will be creating two new files, header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php per instructions below.
If you’ve revised any of the BP template files transferred to your quik-gallery theme folder in server during the BP Compatibility process, please delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your quik-gallery theme folder in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /members, /groups, /register – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility again to make sure that you have clean template files.
A. COPY your theme’s header.php and Save As > header-buddypress.php
Open up header-buddypress.php and at the BOTTOM of the file, below other code contained within, add this:
`
`Save file.

Mike3853
Memberhi, thanks a lot for your reply.
I can’t seem to get that to work. When you say to replace ‘reply_text’ with the id of the editor, is the ID just the name of this editor? Is there somewhere I can look to find out the specific ID because I am suspecting maybe the ID is something different then the name?Is this method you told me above basically to tell the forums which editor to use, or the whole site?
Thanks!
Edit: Also, I save the topic.php in my child theme folder at “/themes/bp-child/groups/single/forum/topic.php” correct?

@mercime
Participant1. Backup database. 2. Uninstall Group Forums via dashboard menu BuddyPress > Forums
3. Delete bb-config.php file from server — found in root of your WP installation i.e., where you find your wp-config.php file.Note that come BP 1.6, Group Forums will be migrated over to bbPress Sitewide Forums.
June 9, 2012 at 2:11 pm #135612In reply to: Add Sub-Forums?
@mercime
Participant== add two categories in my BuddyPress forum ==
Can’t do this in default Forums for Groups.
You can do this in bbPress sitewide forums –> https://bbpress.org/forums
Forums for Groups will be migrated to bbPress sitewide forums come BP 1.6
June 9, 2012 at 8:21 am #135604@mercime
ParticipantIf this is a new installation and you have not created Group Forums before, then you won’t find bb-config.php at all.
If you have created Group Forums before, then you’ll find bb-config.php at the root of the WP installation (same level where you’d find wp-config.php file)

Sniper Kitten
ParticipantIf you’re using wordpress 3.3+, you can use the wp_editor function in your buddypress powered theme. For example, the is the textarea for posting reply for group forums in BuddyPress Default theme located in /buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/groups/single/forum :
`
`
Change it to
``
Where the first quote (‘Type here …’) is the initial content for the editor (You can just leave it as ” if you don’t want any initial content) and the second quote (‘reply_text’) is the id of the editor.By default, wp_editor will use the default TinyMCE editor that comes with WordPress but you can change it via a plugin e.g. CKEditor For WordPress

Participantworked perfect, thank you. Would it be the same file I need to change, to put the avatar first, then title second?
June 8, 2012 at 9:22 am #135574In reply to: Make Avatar on Forum Directory larger
@mercime
Participant@b1gft copy over https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.5/bp-themes/bp-default/forums/forums-loop.php into child theme folder/forums/forums-loop.php – then change value in line 61 for the poster avatar and line 68 for the groups avatar.

@mercime
Participant== please create an account to test a couple things ==
@finallyanime Do provide a test username and password which you can delete later.
1. if you’re referring to blog posts, then you’d need to install a subscription plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe2/ or via feedburner etc.
2. What’s wrong about the blogs section specifically? You need to have a multisite installation for that
== Doesn’t look like “create new topic or group” is possible ==
3. Did you see the link to create a group beside title of the Groups Directory page? Or go to http://mysite.com/groups/create directly ? Create a new topic for Group Forums or Sitewide Forums?
June 7, 2012 at 12:12 pm #135545In reply to: Generally remove BuddyPress Sidebar and Footer
Mqlte
ParticipantOkay, at least you can “hide” or remove the sidebar with some CSS:
/*Hide sidebar*/
#sidebar { display:none !important; }
/*Full-width posts and pages*/
#custom, #container, #post-entry {width:100% !important;}
/*Full-width BP components*/
#custom #container #content {width:100% !important;}
#custom #container .padder, #custom .directory #container .padder {width: 96% !important; padding:0 2%;}Source: http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/buddy-press-sidebar-on-some-pages

ParticipantIt seems this is being caused by the WP Email Login login plugin. @r-a-y is an author so hopefully he sees this.
I’ve made a post in its forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-email-login-this-plugin-allows-non-activated-users-to-login?replies=1

ModeratorWhat does this mean “matches the page” ?
You need to know the field_id (numeric) of the profile field(s) you want to match.
Take a look at this:

Participant@pgrinnell Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your enews theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
If you’ve previously changed any of the BP template files in your theme folder in server, replace all of them for a clean slate by deleting the 6 BP folders – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility.
Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.
A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
``with the following:
`<?php if(function_exists('bcn_display')) { bcn_display(); }
else { ?>
:`Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to change the BP Templates’ page title’s header tag from `
…
` or `
..
` to `
// Titles Of Respective BP Page Templates //
` and move it to just above `
`. Careful when you do this in the /activity/index.php page.Save files.

Bayu Widyasanyata
MemberHi All,
I think I found the solution and solved this problem. It was BP bug maybe?
It actually similar what @tagtomat mention above.The steps are quite simple:
1. Go to a group page as Admin
2. Go to group Admin’s link
3. Then “Settings” link
4. Just click “Save Changes” button while the “Enable discussion forum” should be checked.It seems that previous checked status on “Enable discussion forum” field doesn’t reflect to database or configuration. Hence we should “commit” this setting to confirm and activate the discussion forum feature. I have tested this for about our 40++ new forum setting and it works! Hope it helps!
Thanks!
