After changing the component settings from the buddypress toolbar I am faced with a blank screen for front end and back! If I disable the Buddypress plugin by renaming in my FTP client the issue is resolved.
I need to change these settings but as I cant activate the plugin without the back end going blank I am in stuck!

I am stressing out!Well guys,
After install, Im having this error at the admin panel:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_get_groups_root_slug() in /home/content/60/9179060/html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-toolbar/buddypress-toolbar.php on line 519To start of with I only want my users to be able to sign up to my site using social networks so I have set this up for Facebook, etc..
I have also changed the code so my admin bar shows up for everyone, included visitors not logged in.
At the moment it shows log in and register. I prefer the wp admin bar so I have defined this over bp admin bar in the wp config file, but bp has still automatically integrated with the wp admin bar I have.
The first this is that I would like to remove the register link and possibly change the Login link to state ‘Register or Login’ but direct only to the login page (to prevent users logging in without a social network connection). Wondering how I do this? is this part of the wp admin bar or bp bar since it link to buddypress registration?
Second thing is that under the main menu in the far right corner of the admin bar, there is a drop down which shows the various sections of buddypress. I love this and think its great, but I am having a issue in my backend where there are some strange wordpress icons showing under the text – see here
Any ideas how to get rid of these icons? I am using the coffee theme backend plugin in case that helps (have posted on wordpress for this plugin as well)

Theme: Frisco for BuddyPress 1.5.04So here is what I’m trying to do
I have created a drop down menu that should hold an rss feed that is already parsed and ready for display.
I’m pulling this rss feed from the sitewide activity of buddypress and I want to make sure I only grab about 10 items to display and maybe have a link at the bottom (which I can do my self) to go to the full feed.
What I need help doing is parsing that rss feed and then displaying it in that menu when the user hovers over it.
Can anyone help me do that?
I’m exhausted after spending hours trying to find a solution to my problem: Emails are not being sent out from my website at all.
I updated Buddypress on March 30th and ever since, I have not received any emails from new user registrations, comments etc. and my new users are not receiving their activation emails. At this point the website is obsolete. Here are some of the things I have done to fix the problem:
-Contacted my hosting provider (Hostmonster) who assured me the problem was not with them.
-Deactivated all plugins to see if there was a compatibility issue. (I am using BBpress, Formidable, WP Mail SMTP, BBpress toolbar and SI Captcha). No Luck.
-Configured WP-Mail-SMTP plugin based on the author specs.Any help or suggestions would be great.

is there anyway to remove the front side toolbar and maybe just have the My Account Drop down stuff on my main nav bar instead ( for logged in users) and it to be login/register when people arnt,

Basically there’s a few things i’m stuck on
1st is i have bbpress already on my wp site but i carnt find the config file to link the buddypress to it so have no idea what to do there
i also want to know how to edit the toolbar that comes with the buddypress plugin it doesn’t fit an i want to remove the random member thing – http://www.aboveandbelow.org
and does any one know what i can use so that members of my site can upload a video and short description to a default category i would also like them be able to post events all front side of course

I am working on adding BuddyPress to an existing site (indieconnect.com). WordPress 3.3.1, Atahualpa theme 3.7.3, and BuddyPress 1.5.5. I installed BuddyPress and activated it. It gave me a message that my theme needed to be upgraded for BuddyPress compatibility and presented 3 plugins (BuddyPress Template Pack, BuddyPress Toolbar and Dynamic Widgets). I attempted to install these plugins but got an error saying that the install failed. I deactivated BuddyPress and then I could see the plugins. When I activated the BuddyPress Template Pack the BP Compatibility menu does not show up in Appearance (or any where else). I then activated BuddyPress and I got this error message:
“The plugin bp-template-pack/loader.php has been deactivated due to an error: The plugin does not have a valid header.”
The system told me that I had activated the BP Template Pack but had not completed configuring it. It directed me to the BP Compatibility page, but when I clicked on the link I got:
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
I am kinda stymied. Any thoughts?Topic: Buddybar
