In reply to: register Page
Trent AdamsParticipantNot sure why, but your register page is showing as:
http://nishinomiya.jp/ebi/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://nishinomiya.jp/ebi/ebi/register
http://nishinomiya.jp/ebi/ebi/register
when it should be:http://nishinomiya.jp/ebi/register
It does work if you hit:
http://nishinomiya.jp/ebi/wp-signup.php
Not sure if it was the translation that screwed up your URL. Never saw that before. Anyone else have anything to add?

Dedy SofyanParticipantFirst of all, BuddyPress is so promising. Keep up the good work!
Currently, I’m involved in implementing BP for a local NGO, and I’m happy to share the translation files.
I’ve done translating the “Bahasa Indonesia” for the RC-1 version and posted on the codex page:
https://codex.buddypress.org/translations/indonesia-indonesian-id_id/
Feel free to comment and correct any error.

kkkforkkkParticipantYou should know that there is some people (like me), that is having this problems with the widgets using spanish translation. Widgets welcome, groups, site wide activity, blog recent post, and 2 o 3 more … they dissapear when we put the spanish translation as default.
Is a very big problem! we are sad!

MartinNr5ParticipantSorry, I’m done.
I just forgot to upload it. Will do asap.
Ok, uploaded to my server. Codex page here: https://codex.buddypress.org/translations/swedish-svenska-sv_se/
Let me know if there are any errors. I’m sure I missed something.

Trent AdamsParticipantI see you added the ticket, so I “briefly” commented on it so that your translation went through fine.

Erwin GerritsParticipantMartiNr5,
I changed all date and time output to WordPres Settings Date & Time Format, so that should take care of the regional date display.
I have wrapped all text with the translation functions, but I haven’t created a pot file yet. I am new to the localization thing, so bear with me on that… I’ll have to do some reading on it, or maybe you can help guide me through it?
February 23, 2009 at 9:46 am #38609In reply to: Blogs-Widget Bug?!
Michael BerraParticipantThe problem still exists – on two different installs I have… STRANGE! Could it be one of the localizations-problems mentioned in other forum-discussions? I am using the german translation…
Thanks again for everyone who gives a thought into it!

FabrÃcio Yutaka FujikawaParticipantHello! I’ve just downloaded the 1132 trunk but the problem still remain for the Brazilian Portuguese translation. The behaviour is exactly as described in thread https://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=1250.
Does anyone know how to solve it?
Thanks!

SgruntParticipanthi Arturo: activity feed ok, registration and activation email ok, widget ok.
i’m using an old italian translation, maybe i will update the localization soon.
February 17, 2009 at 1:28 am #38135In reply to: RC1 + translations bug
Andy PeatlingKeymasterUse the latest trunk, this is fixed.
February 15, 2009 at 4:10 pm #37984In reply to: RC-1: no widgets?
Michael BerraParticipantI believe, that with a localization active (in my case german) the RSS-Feed per example for sitewide-activity doesn’t work (now, since I deinstalled the translation, it works surprisingly )
February 15, 2009 at 3:33 pm #37980In reply to: RC-1: no widgets?
Michael BerraParticipantI guess there were some localization changes anyway – since RC-1 the translations are back to “bad” (as far as it concerns german).
About the widgets: It seems that it only affects BP-Widgets?!
February 14, 2009 at 7:37 pm #37903In reply to: RC-1: no widgets?
MartinNr5ParticipantOk, then I don’t know what could cause this.
I’ll see how my site reacts when I upload the new translation some time tomorrow.
February 14, 2009 at 6:19 pm #37900In reply to: RC-1: no widgets?
MartinNr5ParticipantHi all.
I had an issue with widgets when I first translated BP to Swedish.
Try this: after you upload your translation file go into the admin panel and remove all widgets from the site.
After this, re-add them the same way as they were before.
Andy mentioned that WordPress registers widgets in a “wierd” way that translation can screw up.
February 14, 2009 at 4:28 pm #37897In reply to: RC-1: no widgets?
KazamaParticipantI got the same problem with thai language. I fixed it by “no translation for widget text” until this problem is fixed
February 14, 2009 at 12:10 pm #37879In reply to: Translations – to rename parts of BP
universalMemberI think more logical is to use WPLANG:
if ( file_exists( MUPLUGINDIR . ‘/bp-languages/buddypress-‘ . WPLANG . ‘.mo’ ) )
load_textdomain( ‘buddypress’, MUPLUGINDIR . ‘/bp-languages/buddypress-‘ . WPLANG . ‘.mo’ );
As my system locale is different.
February 14, 2009 at 11:53 am #37878In reply to: RC-1: no widgets?
roomerMemberI’ve the same problem… but.. not in english! maybe, for the time being, you can set your translation back to english. If I find a solution I will put it here.
February 13, 2009 at 7:47 pm #37844In reply to: Localization problems in 1.0b1 and 1.0b2
MartinNr5ParticipantYes, Swedish.
I’m 85% done and should be able to wrap the RC1 translation up over the weekend.
February 11, 2009 at 9:10 pm #37717In reply to: Buddypress home theme is non localizable
plrkParticipantMartinNr5: need help with the Swedish translation? I was about to start doing that next week, but I see no need to re-do finished work.
February 11, 2009 at 7:52 am #37675In reply to: Buddypress home theme is non localizable
jurmousParticipantThere is one PO file indeed for BuddyPress components. And I think the language pieces in the buddypress home theme should be separate so people can more easily change the language in of the theme without compromising the translations for BuddyPress itself.
Shouldn’t be there a language file for the home theme?
Ah nice to have also a swedish version soon
February 10, 2009 at 12:03 pm #37606In reply to: Dutch Translation / Nederlandse vertaling
jurmousParticipantThanks, I seemed to have missed the subpage construction when I edited the page.
The translation is now online!
February 10, 2009 at 11:13 am #37604In reply to: Dutch Translation / Nederlandse vertaling
ArturoParticipantregister and create a page for this translation in the codex section like other languages.
February 8, 2009 at 8:33 pm #37496In reply to: Date Format Issue
MartinNr5ParticipantThat sounds like you need an updated translation file for german.
The BP 1.0b2 release added a few more lines to be translated to the mix.
February 5, 2009 at 6:31 pm #37288In reply to: bp-admin-bar: Random Blog problem
maagic-netParticipantThanks burtadsit! Patch truly solved the randomize problem.
For the language problem: I would be happy if there could be a toggle that siteadmin can decide what translation should unlogged user see always in bp-admin-bar.. if it is considered as a feature.
EDIT: Just tested that the translation effect is same is user logged in or not. Bar changes from blog to another, depending the current blog language setting. It’s annoying I think. When user selects a language he/she wants to use, shouldn’t the it be the same all around the site?
