Hi,

I’m new in buddypress. I installed the plugin SocialLogin for users to register with their linkedIn account. Now I want that on every member profile which is registered with linked in some information from Linked in are shown. How can I get this work?

Im new to buddypress and i really like it. Im using gravity forms for creating a group but cant figure out how to create the creator of the group to be administrator of that hidden group. now i’m using groups_invite_user( array( 'user_id' => $the_user_id, 'group_id' => $id, 'inviter_id' => $new_group->creator_id, 'is_confirmed' => 1 ) ); witch add the creator as member, i need it to be administrator. Any suggestions?

Hi I am currently working on a BuddyPress site, which is specific to music professionals.

I am looking provide BuddyPress members with the ability to upload music directly to a playlist, which then appears on the member’s profile. I have previously tried RT Media but have been unhappy with the way it presents the music.

I was therefore wondering if anyone knows of a plugin that can achieve this or alternatively, a way of creating it?

Hi, The site that I’m working on is on a free server and all the activation emails goes to the spam folder. I had no choice and disabled the email verification with some hack that I found on this forum and it works fine. The problem is that after registration the screen that tells you to check your email is still appearing. I want to change the text in the screen to “Thank you for registering” or something like that but I can’t find the file that I should modify.

Those anyone have a clue how to do it?

I’m trying to figure out how to make a style.css modification (In my child theme) contingent on a user Profile Field. So when a user selects one of three options in the field, it causes one of three different colored boarders to surround their user avatar. I know the style.css needed is roughly;

    background: #ffffff;
    padding: 4px;
    border: 1px solid #ddd;
}

img.avatar.user-1-avatar {
    background: #ebf7ff;
    padding: 4px;
    border: 1px solid #ddd;
}

But don’t know how to make it responsive to a profile field.

I have a problem，When the user “Comment” or “Reply” in Activity，there is no notification， this make me really hard to see whats happening.
I hope the next buddypress can have notification for “Comment” and “Reply” ,that would really helpful.

Hi team

I have a new install of BBPress (within BuddyPress) on my site.

I imported my old forums (which have been un-used for around 18months) from vBulletin. No issues with the import.

However my members (we haven’t launched yet, and they are not registered as active in BuddyPress) are getting email notifications on topics that are in the system.

Any ideas?

I’ve turned off notifications in BuddyPress just in case that is it, but would love if someone could tell me what might be causing it, and how I can turn it off for historic posts.
