I have set up and deleted the wpmu and buddypress combo files three times and set up a new SQL database just in case and I still can’t get the member pages to show up using the default buddypress default home page. It continues to show me the following:
You do not have any BuddyPress themes installed.
Please move “/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/” to “/wp-content/bp-themes/” and refresh this page. You can download more themes here.
I followed all of the directions listed above and nothing seems to work.
Also, in terms of my “manage theme” settings: I only show “default home theme”. In my buddypress general selections, it only gives me “wordpress default, wordpress custom, and mu default” I don’t see any buddypress options.
Please note, i’ve read every post related to this issue, but I can’t figure it out still. I’m willing to provide screen shots and/or reinstall, but would like to get some help.
Thank you.
(I started a new thread because the old one is marked as “Resolved”. This is not resolved.)
I have psuedo-bbCode – really HTML tags with [ instead of < – showing up in my Activity and in my Group Forums. It only affects forum posts in the activity feeds, the other stuff is fine. The “bbPress side” of the group forums also look fine.
I am running:
– BuddyPress 1.0.2
– WordPress MU 2.7.1
– bbPress 1.0.1 (with buddypress-enable.php from BuddyPress 1.0.2)
– PHP 5.2.9
– libxml 2.7.3
Topic: BP seems to mix themes
Hi,
I installed buddypress. However I had a hard time configuring the themes.
I would expect that the Bb admin would show the themes that are installed in /wp-content/bp-themes/. However it doesn’t. It shows you the themes of WordPress. But when you select a theme is ASSUMES that you have the same theme with the same name in the /wp-content/bp-themes/ directory. If not it doesn’t use the bpmember theme. (maybe only the first time…)
But is this a good assumption? Because it took me an hour to understand this. I would say it would be more correct that the Bpress admin shows the themes that are actually located in /wp-content/bp-themes.
What I had to do now is rename the bpmember directory to name of the theme that i have selected in the Bpress admin. Which isn’t really userfriendly. And I only came up with this solution because I have some background in programming and also saw some other people renaming stuff.
Thanks
