In reply to: Group Documents 0.3.0 Released
danbpfrParticipantHi Peter,
i have sended you the fr_FR translation by the usual way…
I have a question to you and all other users.
What do you think to call this plugin “bp-doclib” instead of “buddypress-group-documents” ?
DocLib is really shorter as Group Documents in the admin menu and more handy to use on a forum, like
“hey my doclib is going crazy”, instead of “buddypress-group-documents is….”…
+ 1 for me (even if DocLib (docutheque) is in use since 0.1.3 release on bp-fr.net)

XevoParticipantDutch translation is done, if you’d like, you could add it to your plugin.
http://www.xevodesign.nl/files/translations/plugins/bp-album/bpalbum_nl_NL.zip
I’d really appreciate it if you could test it on wp single.
March 11, 2010 at 12:19 pm #67749In reply to: BP Album+ : my new plugin for pictures
XevoParticipantFinally a buddypress user gallery plugin that’s free and works with 1.2.
Just a question though, will it work with wordpress single, or isnt it tested with it yet?
I’ll do the Dutch translation by the way.

danbpfrParticipantHi all,
asked by nexia, a pot file for the welcome pack plugin is ready here:
http://bp-fr.net/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-group-documents/documents/1267797907-i18n-dwp.zip
in the zip you will also find a french translation.
i haven’t installed it so i’m not sure of the path and the file name.
i suppose dwp-xx_XX.mo in the i18n folder ?
Anyway the pot file is done

cyanto76MemberI find that the problem is correlated to spanish translation, in the other language i have no problem with send invites in single group.
March 4, 2010 at 3:16 pm #66694In reply to: Looking for a Following-Feature
nickritaParticipantFlorian, if you are german, you could just change the translation in the .po -file.
Open the german .po with po-edit, search the translations you want to change, and you have what you want.

AlexParticipant@paulhastings0, @Anointed, @Rbl
Thanks for letting me know about the bugs, 0.0.7 fixes the ‘You do not have permission to do that.’ error you have been experiencing.
0.0.7 also fixes the issue of display options not being saved. However, it doesn’t address your other issues:
* “%user% likes an activity” type updates will not be translated into the custom version, as these have been saved to the main BuddyPress Activities table of the database *prior to the custom messages*. So I think the ‘untranslated’ activities you are seeing were made before you upgraded? That’s why they appear to be untranslated after you hit the ‘View more’ button.
* I cannot confirm the bug you noticed about ‘View more’ button not working; but I’ll do a bit of testing to find out!
* The ‘View likes’ button currently doesn’t appear on ‘mini’ activities, this is intentional due to styling problems, however that will be fixed in a later version.
The custom messages are not intended to be translations as such, but to allow site admins to change ‘like’ to ‘love’ or similar. This is just to allow flexibility. Localization comes from the defaults being provided in the desired language.

epsiParticipantI ‘like’ @hempsworth ‘s rating plugin.
I just don’t think options table is the right place to store language translation.
I have to delete bp_like_settings from sitemeta table with phpmyadmin.
Then reactivate this plugin before my translation shown up.
But after all. I vote this plugin to be in the core
before other developer make other rating capability in their plugin.

rblParticipantOn 2 different test sites (WP with BP, not WPMU) everything works ok except for 3 things:
1 – the “view likes” button doesn’t appear on all activity streams items where it should appear;
2 – changing the visibility setting doesn’t change a thing (maybe it’s because I’m using the admin account);
3 – on one site the “load more” link in the bottom of the activity stream stopped working and in the other site, it loads the items with the original language, not the translation.
I will test it better as soon as possible.

March 1, 2010 at 4:48 pm #66138In reply to: How to control spam registration?
mlovelockParticipantThe limitation of WP-Ban is that it’s not working at .htaccess level, so it only really does it’s thing if a spammer is polite enough to access your site normally. You might want to look at something like a plugin that’s going to ban IPs and referrers at the .htaccess level.
Also, had a quick look at your site – I presume you’re talking about http://young-people.ch ? I notice your register page is still /register (albeit translated) – have you tried changing this to something else? There’s eevery chance that the mere translation of the standard ‘register’ slug won’t slow the spammers down.

EnricoParticipantFull translation support is coming in 0.0.6, if you are interested in translating the plugin into your language please let me know and I can create the translation set over on my GlotPress install which will allow you to easily translate the strings.

Michael BerraParticipant@blackphantom Hmmm – strange thing. Yesterday it just worked fine, now, no tweets are coming in to BP anymore… I think it stopped, when I uploaded my localization. Could that (a translation) cause that?

disbasParticipant@hempsworth Great work so far!
Any thoughts on translations or custom messages? So members can ‘love’ or ‘dig’ something instead of ‘like’ it. May be best done through the back-end.
As soon as custom messages are possible, I’ll definitly start using this.
February 26, 2010 at 4:31 pm #65720In reply to: Tweetstream (twitter plugin) Beta testers needed!
Michael BerraParticipant@blackphantom – I think your plugin is just awesome and gets better and better! WOW! The settings are already great!
Some little suggestions:
– @mentions from BP to twitter are still @ in twitter. Why not make a similar setting: “Export tweets containing @names”
– Set a personal filter in the frontend like “only import/export tweets with … in it” and “never import/export tweets with … in it (say I twitter alot about buddypress in twitter, but my BP Users are not interested in that at all…)
Would be even more great (if that is possible
And did i get that right – is it already translatable? How has the file to be names? (I will make a german translation)
PS: I like, that we can name the twitter-app as we like too!!!
February 24, 2010 at 4:48 pm #65323In reply to: external-group-blogs & group-twitter doesn't work
Michael BerraParticipantBy the way: If I want to translate those plugins – how must the .po file be named, and where does it need to be put (and, I you would like, andy, where should I send the translation)?
