Keymaster@techguy – I’m aware of that. But andrea_r noted something different about some WPMU features (I’m guessing deprecated functions, unless I’m misinterpreting something).

Participantr-a-y,
WP 3.0 will have all the same sitewide features as MU. That is if in WP 3.0 you click the option to allow multiple blogs on the same install. However if you don’t turn that on, then WP 3.0 will act like a single install of WP. I think that’s what Andrea_r meant. If you’re on WPMU and want to move to the standard WP, you should wait for WP 3.0 to make that transition. With the merging of the code bases, it should be easier.

Participant“I think the redesign is O.K., but the most noticeable issue is the light blue text on the white background. It is REALLY hard to read. Definitely not something I would do on my own sites.”
In Firefox (and I think other browsers) you can override the stylesheet using an add-on to make it the color you like.

Can you provide the error log. That can help to resolve the issue for you.
@quirhijn
It means forum is working well for you. Yes, that is normal. Once setup is complete you will always see “forum is successfully installed, if you have trouble….” message.
To disable activity commenting on forum post, go to wp-admin->BuddyPress->general settings.
And if you are expecting a forum backend, Internal bbpress setup for buddypress does not provide that.April 27, 2010 at 6:43 pm #75521In reply to: Editing Forum heat map (tag cloud) settings

ParticipantRe-posting this here at the new BuddyPress.org community:
@boonebgorges — One small issue I have noticed: the function separates capitalized and non-capitalized tags, putting all the capitalized tags first. I want all tags to be alphabetized together in one group, regardless of whether they are capitalized or not. Thanks.

MemberWell, I can create groups, and add topics on the forum on the front side. But on the dashboardside there is just nothing in the Forums Setup page. Somehow I need to be able to adjust if a member may or may not comment in a forum that is not his group and all that stuff. And for that forums setup page is empty my question is: Is this normal? What do you see when you select Forums Setup in the Buddypress menu in the Admin panel? (after complete install)

ParticipantHi again Paul.
Yes, they are visable to search engines – (it would have been great if it was that easy).
I have a feeling that there is somethng wrong with the database.I had some truble getting a language installation running, so i had to delete
everything BP related to get rid of the “white screen of death”, including every
bp_ line in the database. After the reinstallaltion of Bp, i see that something is
wrong (only with bp, everything else is working fine)My very helpful host (wpwebhost), was able to atleast get bp and my language
installed. BUT, it is not translating BP, and i cant see any activity
– mammabloggen.no is the site if anyone want to have a quick look at it to see
what im talking about.Everything was working fine (except translation) before deleted the lines in the
database. (it looks like they are all there, but i have a feeling that something is missing)..Thank you for helping me out

Ps. I will gladly pay someone to get this up and running for me, just PM me.

Keymaster@shaisimchi – Try renaming the /wp-content/plugins/ folder to something else, then refresh the /wp-admin/plugins.php page and rename the plugins directory back to normal.
Try accessing the homepage, does it work now?
