Hello. I am newbie with wordpress. I have installed Buddy Press and it`s great! I wonder if it is ever possible to use another plugin named ZodiacPress for making social network where the information (year,hour of birth etc.) is stored in the DB (for each member) and after that the system gives you report which members are best choice for your better half :). If it is possible can you give me short guideline. Now I read two books about wordpress, but am not shure where are lieing exactly the limitations of this CMS , and that is why I need to know is it possible (continue to study wordpress) or it is not (stop learning wordpress).
Poeple at wordpress checked out something about images not showing up in galleries it was a plugin but ther was also the following error. The website is incredibly slow and I don’t have a ton of plugins running (mailchimp, google translate, recommended mikmag plugins, yoast, ping optimizer, nexgen gallery,instagram feed, and social share icons). Hello,
I create this post because when I try to modify or delete a profile fileds. I have an error message saying that I do not have the right to access the page. Here is the message that appears : “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”. And, I can create new fields with the same profile that denies me access to modification and deletion.
Currently, I uninstall and reinstall the plugin as it is indicated on the following post: Here.

Plugin Suggestion: BuddyPress Revenue (BuddyRevenue)
‘BuddyRevenue’ will add a tab in BuddyPress’ settings, where user can choose to display ads on his profile simply by activating ‘ads feature’.
If activated, user will see revenue balance, and will be asked to submit his PayPal email or to link a bank account in order to withdraw revenues.
If no email or bank account submitted, balance simply stays in profile.
-Not so sure about linking bank account because it might be bit complicated.
=Ads will be display in profile sidebar, as widget or something.Revenues: User recieves 90% of his profile’s ads revenue, website owner get 5%, and plugin author gets 5%.
Plugin panel should also give admin the ability to change shared revenues.On WordPress dashboard plugin panel will give admin ability to withdraw and view his revenues.
Admin should have ordinary ‘ads feature’ BuddyPress tab, which will show balance, as all users have.If admin wants to withdraw his 10% of users’ revenue, he will get it done by plugin settings (panel).
Admin will have the ability to view the revenues from users, from his own profile and total balance.
Users will be able to move their balance to their PayPal/Bank account with a click of a button.
-Not so sure about linking bank account because it might be bit complicated.This plugin will encourage users to create interesting and inviting content, which will help the website’s growth.
And also will give the plugin developer the money he needs to maintain his systems, and help the plugin author develop the plugin in the best way.*Please this image which I designed as example:

Topic: Soft delete user accounts
Hello,
Is there any way to soft-delete user accounts, i.e. when a user deletes his⋅her account, mark it as “deleted” but keep it visible for admins ? Not necessarily on the website front but in “admin” => “users” for example.
This sounds complex and perhaps this is more of a WordPress question ?

First of all let me thank you for the amazing work you are doing with BP.
I’ve been building a BP-based website for few months, always keeping up to date wordpress and BP.Suddenly the avatar functionalities stopped working.
I can see that BP tries to upload the avatar in the wrong folder: <user_id>/avatars/<user_id> (e.g.: Upload Failed! Error was: Unable to create directory 47/avatars/47. Is its parent directory writable by the server?).
I am sure before the upload directory was uploads/avatars/<user_id>I’ve tried to reload previous backups but the problem is still there.
I’ve seen someone had the same issue once and he managed to fix it by reinstalling everything.I can’t afford to reinstall everything at the moment
Do you have any suggestion on how could I possibly debug this?I am using the latest version of WP (4.7.3) and BP (2.8.1).

Topic: Translation stopped working

I have just updated BuddyPress 2.7.4 to 2.8.1 (Skipped 2.8.0). My translation (po/mo) has stopped working.
My translation files have been living at wp-content/languages/plugins/buddypress-en_US.mo and wp-content/languages/plugins/buddypress-en_US.po
I have now tried
1 – to save files to wp-content/languages/buddypress/buddypress-en_US.mo and wp-content/languages/buddypress/buddypress-en_US.po
2 – define (‘WPLANG’, ‘en_US’); in wp-config
3 – Dashboard >> Settings >> General >> Site Language (buuddpress-en_US is not in the list)I am not using any cache method / cache plugin. I had a few customized phrases defined by my po/mo files. One of them for example is following
“Your profile photo will be used on your profile and throughout the site. If there is a Gravatar associated with your account email we will use that, or you can upload an image from your computer.”

I would like to change the URL for members on our Buddypress site so that instead of using the username (www.mysite.co.uk/members/username
it uses a custom buddypress field (www.mysite.co.uk/members/businessname)
I have found this article and can change it so the URL reads the above but the profile doesnt load and you get a 404 error.

I have installed with Twentyseventeen theme and with BeTheme. Everything works fine except I have an problem and was hoping someone could help point me in the right direction to resolve an issue with the breadcrumbs.
When I am viewing the forums here is the breadcrumb string:
Home > Forums > “Forum name” > “Topic name”
That is exactly what I want. However, when I am viewing Buddypress pages, the breadcrumbs are:
Home > Forums > “Username”
I would prefer the breadcrumbs to be as follows:
Home > Members > “Username” when someone is viewing Buddypress pages.
Does anyone know how to achieve this????

I’m new to buddypress & trying to change label “required” word to “*” buddypress new user registration form. For this I have modified wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration/register.php but unfortunately no changes found in my registration form. I’m using ‘Bakes And Cakes’ wordpress free theme as well.

On some forums and social networks, you will see a badge or for example Admin next to the username of the member of the network that is an admin, or MOD next to their name if they are a moderator.
Do you know how we can display roles in WordPress next to usernames, use a badge or image, or know of a plugin that can accomplish custom roles or tags for staff members within buddy press?
